Job DescriptionWe are currently looking for an Operations Support Engineer for a 100% remote position supporting the Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) Lighthouse program. This role provides Tier 1 and Tier 2 application and infrastructure support, analyzes system and pipeline logs, escalates issues as needed, and ensures high availability of services in a fast-paced, cloud-based environment.ResponsibilitiesProvide Tier 1 and Tier 2 support for application and infrastructure requests within the VA Lighthouse environment.Analyze pipeline logs to detect issues, troubleshoot problems, and escalate to appropriate teams when needed.Maintain accurate tracking, documentation, and reporting of issues using Salesforce and other ticketing systems.Collaborate with engineering teams to support CI/CD processes and system operations.Assist in monitoring, incident response, and continuous service improvement activities.Apply scripting knowledge (Python, TypeScript) to automate routine tasks and streamline support workflows.Support API integrations and cloud environments, including AWS and Kubernetes.Operate effectively in a fast-paced environment, demonstrating strong organization, communication, and prioritization skills.Contribute to team objectives and take on additional responsibilities as needed.RequirementsU.S. Citizen or Green Card holder with 3+ years of U.S. residency.2+ years of experience providing Tier 1 and Tier 2 application or infrastructure support.Experience using Salesforce and/or other ticketing tools for incident and request management.Ability to analyze logs, investigate issues, and escalate appropriately.Experience with scripting languages such as Python or TypeScript.Working knowledge of APIs, AWS services, Kubernetes, CI/CD tools, and GitHub.Strong organizational skills with excellent written and verbal communication abilities.Self-starter with a collaborative mindset and the ability to prioritize tasks in a dynamic environment.Additional QualificationsExperience supporting federal or healthcare IT environments.Familiarity with DevOps principles and cloud-native operations.Understanding of incident, change, and problem management processes.BenefitsMedical/Dental/Vision.401k with Employer Match.PTO + Federal Holidays.Corporate Laptop.Training Opportunities.Remote Opportunity.NoteSelected candidates will be required to complete fingerprinting at a government facility and undergo a background check as part of the hiring process.Equal Opportunity DisclaimerVetsEZ is an equal opportunity employer.
