In this role, you will help uninsured, underinsured, and underserved patients gain access to life-changing prescription medications through pharmaceutical manufacturer assistance programs.You will act as the primary coordinator for PAP applications, patient outreach, provider communication, and medication renewal tracking, ensuring patients maintain uninterrupted access to critical therapies. This position is ideal for a highly organized healthcare professional who enjoys patient advocacy, care coordination, and administrative healthcare operations.ResponsibilitiesApplication ManagementComplete, submit, and track manufacturer Patient Assistance Program (PAP) applications.Utilize the Med Data platform to manage application workflows.Ensure all required documentation is complete and accurate before submission.Patient Intake & CoordinationCommunicate with patients to obtain necessary documentation, including: Proof of income, Household information, Income attestations, Required consent formsEducate patients on application requirements and status updates.Provider EngagementCoordinate with clinic providers and prescribers to obtain: Wet signatures, Electronic authorizations, Prescription documentationMaintain efficient communication between providers and pharmacy teams.Refill & Lifecycle TrackingManage an active pipeline of approximately 120 applications and renewals per month.Track medication refill schedules and pickup dates.Initiate renewal processes at least 90 days before expiration to prevent treatment interruptions.Interdepartmental CoordinationCommunicate with pharmacy hubs and care teams regarding medication shipments and deliveries.Ensure seamless coordination between patients, providers, pharmacies, and manufacturers.Compliance & DocumentationMaintain accurate records in NextGen, Med Data, and future eClinicalWorks systems.Scan, upload, and organize all documentation according to company standards.Ensure compliance with OSV, FTCA, and applicable healthcare regulations.RequirementsMust HaveActive Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) credential.Experience working in a healthcare setting.Proficiency with Electronic Health Record (EHR) systems.Strong understanding of medical terminology.Excellent organizational and documentation skills.Strong verbal and written communication abilities.Ability to manage multiple deadlines and workflows simultaneously.Comfortable working independently in a remote environment.High attention to detail and commitment to patient advocacy.Nice to HaveExperience with NextGen EHR.Willingness to train and transition to eClinicalWorks.Experience with Patient Assistance Programs (PAP).Familiarity with pharmacy operations, care coordination, or prior authorization workflows.Experience working with underserved patient populations.Bilingual English/Spanish communication skills.Experience using medical interpretation or translation services.BenefitsFully remote work environmentMeaningful patient advocacy roleCompetitive contract compensationComprehensive onboarding and trainingOpportunity for contract renewal and long-term placementProfessional growth within healthcare operationsCollaborative and mission-driven team culture
