Requirements and responsibilities

Waypoint Agency is an NYC-based web and digital marketing shop serving small businesses, nonprofits, and foundations. We are hiring a Growth Marketing Strategist to take our own marketing engine from reactive to relentless. What You Will Own: - You own four channels end to end: cold email, paid ads, SEO, and social (LinkedIn primary). - Strategy, execution, measurement, iteration. - You will be the person who makes Waypoint visible generates conversations with future clients, and turns our website into a working sales asset. Day-to-Day Responsibilities: - Writing and shipping LinkedIn content under our brand (multiple posts per week, our voice, your initiative). - Managing and continuously improving Waypoint agency: copy, case studies, landing pages, conversion paths. - Running and iterating cold email outbound to nonprofits, foundations, and regional businesses. - Owning SEO: on-page, technical basics, content briefs, keyword targeting, and tracking rankings over time. - Planning, launching, and optimizing paid ads (LinkedIn Ads, Google Ads, Meta where it fits) with clear budget discipline. - Monitoring GA4, GTM, LinkedIn analytics, and cold email metrics, then bringing insights to weekly syncs without being asked. - A/B testing copy, subject lines, CTAs, landing page variants. - Bias toward shipping ten things and seeing what sticks. - Growing into strategic ownership: positioning, productized offerings, partnership channels. - You are not waiting for a brief. - You are noticing what is missing and shipping the fix. Candidate Fit: - 3+ years in growth, content, or digital marketing at agencies or SaaS. - Native or near-native English, especially in writing. - You have personally written LinkedIn content that performed, and you can show it. - You have personally run cold email sequences and can talk about reply rates. - You have run SEO work end to end and can show ranking or traffic results. - You have managed paid ad budgets and can talk about CPL, CAC, or ROAS in your own words. - You read dashboards on your own and form opinions. - You ship a B+ version Monday instead of waiting for the A+ version Friday. - Minimum 6 hours of daily overlap with New York time (US Eastern). - Non-negotiable. Not a Fit If: - You need a fully scoped brief before starting. - "More data" is a stopping point rather than a next step. - You have never owned a number you were measured against. - You are juggling 4 other clients and this is your fifth. Stack We Use: - WordPress (we handle dev). - GA4. - GTM. - LinkedIn. - Apollo/Instantly/Smartlead. - Notion. - Slack. Strong candidates will be invited to a paid trial week ($400) with a real Waypoint assignment before any offer.
