CloudBlue enables partners to monetize and manage cloud services and subscriptions at scale, combining the agility of a high-growth business with the backing of a global organization.As the Senior Software Engineer, Billing Platform, you will play a key role in designing, building, and evolving billing capabilities within our CloudBlue platform, involving complex backend logic, pricing-related data flows, and API-driven services. You’ll help embed AI into backend systems and business processes. You will be part of an international engineering team.What you’ll doArchitect and operate backend services driving complex billing logic and transaction processingDevelop Python-based APIs and services, leveraging AI-assisted tools to accelerate delivery and qualityOwn features end-to-end, from initial design and technical scoping through implementation, testing, deployment, and ongoing production support, ensuring high quality, scalability, and maintainabilityDrive AI adoption across the platform by identifying opportunities to integrate AI into backend services and workflows, and developing AI-powered solutions that improve automation, efficiency, and developer productivityDevelop and support single-page applications (SPAs) using Vue, contributing to frontend components that enable seamless interaction with backend services and APIsCollaborate within small, cross-functional engineering teams to deliver features iteratively, contributing to design discussions, code reviews, and shared ownership of system architecture and qualityWork closely with Product Managers and other CloudBlue teams to translate business requirements into technical solutions, align on priorities, and ensure successful delivery of platform capabilitiesPartner with your Engineering Manager on growth and career developmentSupport other tasks or projects as assigned to meet team and business needsAbout you5 years or more of professional software engineering experience, with a minimum of 3 years of hands-on Python development Hands-on experience designing and developing billing systems, including pricing logic, invoicing flows, and transaction processing Hands-on experience with AI-assisted development tools, combined with a strong interest in applying AI to solve real-world problems and streamline workflows Strong experience designing and integrating APIsSolid understanding of PostgreSQL and relational databasesExperience with unit and end-to-end testingStrong communication skills in English, with the ability to collaborate effectively across cross-functional teams Experience with event streaming platforms (e.g., Kafka) and exposure to distributed systems patterns is considered a plusFamiliarity with Python frameworks such as Django, DRF, or FastAPI would be beneficialExposure to additional backend languages such as Java, Go, or Rust is an added advantageHands-on experience integrating LLMs or AI services (e.g., OpenAI APIs, RAG) is a strong plusRecent experience with JavaScript frameworks such as Vue or React is helpfulExperience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP), Kubernetes, and modern DevOps practices (infrastructure as code, CI/CD, monitoring, and alerting) is advantageousWhat we offer:Work from anywhere – this is a remote opportunity, open to candidates located within the European Union only, in line with team needs and operational requirements A competitive salary that values you and your unique skill setsCareer advancement & professional development opportunities to help you reach your full potentialFlexible work arrangements to support work/life balanceAbout us:At HostPapa, we’ve been committed to providing a complete array of enterprise-grade cloud services solutions to every business owner since 2006.
