We help members spend less time worrying about digestive symptoms—and more time living fully.Position SummaryAs a Registered Dietitian at Cylinder, you’ll deliver compassionate, evidence-based care to members seeking relief from chronic digestive conditions. Through HIPAA-compliant phone and video sessions, you’ll provide Medical Nutrition Therapy (MNT) using motivational interviewing, strengths-based care, and behavior change models to support members’ goals. Most members you’ll work with face conditions such as Crohn’s disease, ulcerative colitis, celiac disease, IBS, short bowel syndrome, diverticulitis, chronic constipation or diarrhea, gastroparesis, food allergies and intolerances, SIBO, and more.The contract will last 16 weeks, starting in mid December. You can create a schedule that fits your lifestyle, including one evening shift until 8pm and some weekend availability. You can choose how many hours you would like to work (between 30-40 weekly).Compensation & SchedulingThis is an hourly, paid contract role. Dietitians are compensated for their scheduled working hours, regardless of visit length or no-shows. You’ll be paid for your time, including documentation and care-related work during scheduled hours.Responsibilities Include:Deliver individualized MNT, including assessment, nutrition diagnosis, interventions, monitoring, and evaluationSupport members in managing comorbidities, dietary supplements, and probioticsApply evidence-based strategies (e.g. FODMAP diet, elimination diets, mindful eating) to relieve symptoms and improve quality of lifeUse counseling skills (MI, TTM, strengths-based care) to help members move through the stages of changeGuide members in building self-efficacy and advocacy, while providing education, SMART goal-setting, and accountabilityDocument sessions in line with clinical guidelines and company standardsCollaborate with an interdisciplinary team to ensure optimal, coordinated carePractice in alignment with HIPAA, state, and federal regulations, following Clinical Pathways and scope of practice, while collaborating with or referring to other disciplines as outlined in escalation guidelinesMaintain strict confidentiality of members’ Protected Health Information (PHI) in compliance with HIPAA and the confidentiality agreementYou’ll be a good fit here if you:Are excited about using technology to transform digestive health careExcel at building rapport and engaging members through clear, empathetic communicationHave experience integrating behavioral modification strategies into nutrition counselingRequired Qualifications:Bachelor’s degree in Nutrition or related fieldRegistered dietitian status certified through CDRState licensure (as required)Quiet, professional dedicated workspace with secure high-speed internetPreferred Qualifications:1+ year of outpatient dietitian experienceMaster’s degree in Dietetics or Human NutritionNBC-HWC CertificationBilingual (Spanish preferred)Multi-state licensureTraining in MI, SMART goal setting, stages of change assessmentCompensation Note & Contract RenewalStarting pay will be based on a number of factors and commensurate with qualifications & experience and ranges between $40-45 per hour, plus a $1,500 bonus upon completion of the 16-week contract.
