About DeleteMe: DeleteMe is the leader in proactive privacy protection. We help security teams reduce their human attack surface by continuously monitoring and removing exposed personal data (PII) from the open web — the very data threat actors use to launch social engineering, phishing, Gen-AI deepfake, doxxing campaigns, physical threats, and identity fraud. Operating as a fast-growing, global SaaS company, DeleteMe serves both consumers and enterprises. DeleteMe has completed over 100 million opt-out removals, helping customers reduce risks associated with identity theft, spam, doxxing, and other cybersecurity threats. We deliver detailed privacy reports, continuous monitoring, and expert support to ensure ongoing protection. DeleteMe acts as a scalable, managed defense layer for your most vulnerable attack vector: your people. That’s why 30% of the Fortune 100, top tech firms, major banks, federal agencies, and U.S. states rely on DeleteMe to protect their workforce. DeleteMe is led by a passionate and experienced team and driven by a powerful mission to empower consumers with privacy. Job summary: We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Web Automation Team Lead to lead a team of 2–6 engineers while remaining hands-on as an individual contributor. You will lead the Web Automation team and help build our platform for monitoring and removing personal data online. This role is ideal for engineers who thrive in high-impact environments and have deep experience across backend systems, web development, and distributed systems. Job responsibilities: * Customer Value Focus: Collaborate with the Sr. Director of Engineering to ensure technical work directly supports customer outcomes. * Team Leadership and Delivery Oversight: Oversee the team’s projects and priorities to ensure timely and high-quality delivery. * Hands-On Engineering: Contribute to the codebase, helping design and build scalable, maintainable, and secure software solutions. * Cross-functional Execution: Work with Product Managers to implement product features and improvements. * Compliance and Security: Ensure all solutions meet security and SOC 2 compliance standards from the ground up. * Stakeholder Collaboration: Communicate effectively with internal stakeholders to align on goals and surface risks early. * Team Development: Manage team performance, provide mentorship, and support career growth for engineers on the team. * Stakeholder Collaboration: Partner with the engineering team and other stakeholders to gather requirements and align initiatives. * Team Leadership: Manage team performance, provide professional development opportunities, and foster a collaborative, high-performing culture. Job requirements: * Minimum of 5 years of software engineering experience. * 5+ years of experience as a NodeJS developer. * Minimum of 2 years of experience leading a team of 3+ engineers. * Proven hands-on experience in engineering with a track record of designing secure and scalable systems. * Passion for contributing to a collaborative culture that values innovation, continuous improvement, and personal accountability. * Excellent knowledge of OOP and functional programming. * Strong development experience with web development and distributed systems. * Expertise in scalable architectures and high-reliability systems. * Ability to apply white hat and black hat methodologies in a responsible and ethical manner. * A proactive mindset and ability to work in a fast-paced environment. * Passion for team development and fostering a culture of innovation and accountability.
