Wild Alaskan Company is seeking a highly skilled Senior Frontend Engineer with a passion for ecommerce, funnel conversion, and user interface design. The right candidate will work with stakeholders from the Marketing and Brand teams, with input from the CEO, to build and maintain the front end components that power the next iteration of the company's proprietary ecommerce platform. This role involves long-term frontend strategy, maintaining a living component library, funnel optimization, user interface design, team leadership, cross-functional collaboration, testing, performance monitoring, and technology evaluation. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 7 years experience in frontend development, with a focus on ecommerce platforms and conversion optimization. They should also have mastery of Vue3/Nuxt3, expert proficiency in HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and other relevant frontend technologies, strong experience with PHP/Laravel and blade templating, and experience with design tools such as Figma and Adobe XD. The role is 100% remote with occasional travel for in-person team and companywide retreats, and the starting salary range is $140,000 - $180,000, commensurate with skills and experience. Responsibilities: - Develop and implement a plan to move from the current disparate frontend stack to a more maintainable, scalable stack. - Create and maintain a component library using cutting-edge frontend technologies to enable developers to quickly iterate on features. - Contribute to the optimization of sales funnels, from awareness to conversion, by analyzing user behavior, A/B testing, and implementing data-driven improvements. - Work with the Product Designer to create visually appealing and intuitive user interfaces, ensuring seamless navigation and a cohesive brand experience across all digital touch points. - Act as a mentor and thought leader to a team of fullstack/frontend engineers, providing guidance on best practices, coding standards, and fostering a collaborative and innovative work environment. - Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including product management, UX/UI design, and backend development, to deliver integrated and cohesive solutions that meet business goals. - Champion frontend testing methodologies to provide test coverage to key business features. - Utilize tools to monitor page speed performance on key ecommerce pages, identify areas for improvement, and implement solutions to enhance overall site speed and responsiveness. - Stay abreast of industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices in ecommerce and frontend development, and evaluate and recommend new tools, frameworks, and technologies to enhance the capabilities of the team and platform.
