What you will doLet’s do this. Let’s change the world. In this vital role you will be part of the Global Development Operations (GDO) team that supports Amgen sponsored clinical trials globally. In this vital role you will be responsible for overseeing the performance and quality of suppliers, providing input and ensuring alignment with Amgen's strategy and standards, and facilitating effective communication and collaboration among internal and external stakeholders. You will also contribute to process improvement initiatives, supplier evaluation and selection, and cross-functional projects.Key ResponsibilitiesFacilitate and execute supplier governance meetings and operating reviews, monitor key performance indicators and perform issue managementSupport business functions with evaluation, selection, and startup of suppliersCollaborate with business leadership to identify business needs and priorities, and align supplier strategy and capabilities accordinglyBuild and maintain relationships with key internal and external stakeholders, including study teams, functional leads, procurement, quality, compliance, and suppliersWork with suppliers and Amgen stakeholders to identify process improvements and coordinate their development and implementation, ensuring adherence to best practices and compliance requirementsAssist with standardizing and aligning clinical trial execution across programs,Support the assessment and implementation of technologies and innovationsLead and contribute to cross-functional initiatives and special projectsFacilitate mentoring, training, and career development of direct reports, and manage their performance and feedbackWhat we expect of youWe are all different, yet we all use our unique contributions to serve patients. The professionals we seek will have these qualificationsBasic Qualifications:Doctorate degree and 2 years of Clinical experienceOrMaster’s degree and 4 years of Clinical experienceOrBachelor's degree and 6 years of Clinical experienceOrAssociate's degree and 10 years of Clinical experienceOrHigh school diploma/GED and 12 years of Clinical experiencePreferred Qualifications:BS/BA/BSc in the sciences or RN9 years’ work experience in life sciences or medically related field, including 6 years of biopharmaceutical clinical research experience (clinical research experience obtained working on clinical trials at a biotech, pharmaceutical or CRO company)Experience working for clinical trial suppliersExperience working with and/or oversight of clinical trial suppliers working on clinical trialsExperience managing direct reportsKnowledgeExperience working in a global, matrix organizationKnowledge of Good Clinical Practices (GCP), FDA regulations and guidelines, and international regulatory requirements/guidelinesClinical trials executionProject management experienceProficiency in proactive issue managementExperience writing and presenting clearly to Senior ManagementDemonstrated ability to communicate effectively with a diverse audienceExcellent interpersonal, organizational, supervisory skillsProfessional collaboration and leadership skillsWhat you can expect of usAs we work to develop treatments that take care of others, we also work to care for your professional and personal growth and well-being.
