PART-TIME SENIOR MARKETING LEAD
Remote, with overlap during U.S. Eastern Time
Part-time, 10–15 hours per week
$20–$25 per hour
THE ROLE
The Neuroplasticity Alliance (NPA) is a small non-profit organization that helps people navigating neurologic challenges build agency, strengthen self-advocacy, and explore recovery resources. We are seeking an experienced marketing leader to own the strategy that turns this mission into sustained audience growth, stronger engagement, and measurable action across digital channels.
This is a hands-on leadership role for a senior marketer who can set direction, make sound editorial and channel decisions, and guide execution through a small production team. The right candidate has built audiences before, understands how to connect content to conversion, and can bring disciplined, credible marketing to a healthcare or mission-driven organization.
What you own
• Set and manage an annual integrated marketing strategy and editorial calendar, organized around one or two health conditions or audience needs each month.
• Translate the monthly strategy into coordinated social content, lead magnets, blogs, email campaigns, and newsletters.
• Lead NPA’s social program, including channel planning, Facebook page oversight, community-response standards, and 10–12 posts per week across platforms.
• Own audience and conversion growth; with leadership set monthly and annual goals for increasing website traffic, followers, and engagement.
• Direct a weekly blog and subscriber email, a monthly newsletter, and one monthly lead magnet tied to the editorial theme.
• Promote NPA patient and caregiver trainings, navigation sessions, book club, and other events across channels.
• Manage and develop a contractor responsible for preparing, scheduling, and publishing content under your direction.
• Establish reporting that shows what is working, why it is working, and what should change next; present concise recommendations to leadership.
• Maintain brand, editorial, and healthcare-claims standards. Cite underlying research, identify emerging evidence appropriately, and avoid diagnosis, treatment recommendations, cure language, or outcome guarantees.
• Advise leadership on web content, campaign opportunities, and occasional print materials such as brochures and event displays.
How we will know it is working
• Attain desired monthly increases in website traffic and social media followers, engagement, supported by clear channel and campaign attribution.
• Lead magnets generate qualified visits to directory, program, and event pages.
• Content is delivered consistently, accurately, and on schedule across channels.
• Community questions are answered or routed promptly, and sensitive medical or crisis-related messages follow defined escalation practices.
Follower counts provide context; the most important measure is whether people reach NPA’s website and take a meaningful next step.
What we need
• 10+ years of progressive marketing experience, including senior ownership of integrated digital strategy, audience growth, and campaign performance.
• A documented record of growing website traffic, social audiences, or email lists; applicants should be prepared to share relevant before-and-after results.
• Strong strategic judgment paired with hands-on execution. You can set the plan, prioritize limited resources, and keep work moving without waiting for detailed direction.
• Experience in healthcare, public health, patient education, or another regulated or evidence-sensitive field strongly preferred; nonprofit healthcare experience is especially valuable.
• Excellent editorial instincts and the ability to maintain a credible, compassionate brand voice across varied audiences.
• Experience managing a contractor, coordinator, or virtual assistant and creating clear workflows, standards, and accountability.
• Working knowledge of analytics, email marketing, social platforms, content management systems, and practical AI-enabled marketing tools.
• Sound judgment around healthcare claims, research interpretation, privacy, crisis escalation, and the distinction between education and medical advice.
The work, in practice
This is a part-time, remote role averaging 10–15 hours per week, with compensation of $20–$25 per hour. Some overlap with U.S. Eastern Time is required for planning calls, community review, and team handoffs. You will partner with leadership on priorities and clinical accuracy while directing a small production pod. You are accountable for the strategy, standards, and results; you are not expected to personally design the assets or publish post.
