Technical Lead - Platform at Vannevar Labs

As the Technical Lead at Vannevar Labs, you will be responsible for setting the technical strategy and direction for the Platform team. You will have an outsized impact on the Platform's evolution, supporting developers, forward deployed engineers, and end users. Your innovative thinking and ability to balance immediate impact with future expansions will be crucial in this role. You will also be responsible for building systems, solving large-scale data synchronization problems, and identifying emerging data technologies to support scaling while maintaining low latency reads. The ideal candidate will have 4+ years of professional software development experience, 2+ years of experience as a technical leader, and a proven ability to work across teams to coordinate and solve engineering problems. U.S. Person status is required with the ability to obtain security clearance. Responsibilities: - Build systems that allow deriving value from collections such as 200TB of geospatial data, text and multimedia in over 46 different languages, and other mission related datasets - Solve large-scale data synchronization problems, including propagating data between multiple data stores and external systems - Develop sampling strategies to filter massive geospatial data to enable rendering on an end-user’s web browser - Identify emerging data technologies to support scaling while maintaining low latency reads
