Requirements and responsibilities


We're seeking a motivated (CM/PM) Sr. Construction Manager with experience with leading teams. You will manage the on-site team on a complex 32-story, high-rise mixed-use development project in Columbus, Ohio, and report to a Sr. Project Director. Still, you will need to be experienced on-site leaders in ground-up development and understand working with commercial developer clients to provide data, generate reports, and as a representative for the client to their leadership, design and construction partners, and authorities having jurisdiction on this project. As a Sr. Project Manager, you will lead a team of professionals and act as the owner's representative on this significant project. You will be required to learn and integrate our company's best practices related to project delivery, budget, schedule, quality, and operations in the hospitality environment. Additionally, you will act as an advisor/liaison with the client (user groups, design team, and contractors). It's critical for you to have a proactive nature to anticipate the next steps, as this is a high-paced project with an aggressive schedule. ✅ A summary of the major tasks are listed below: • Monitoring project financial data and budgetary cost accounting. • Construction scheduling analysis and phasing support. • Progress meetings. • Identify and mitigate risks on the project. • Issue resolution. • Managing testing and inspection services. • Maintaining daily progress reports and inspection reports.  Leading the inspection and quality assurance team assigned to projects to ensure timely and effective project oversight. • Performing additional construction-related services. • Claims analysis and resolution services. ✅ Skills and experience: • Bachelor's degree in construction management, engineering, or architecture from an accredited school of higher education. • Minimum of 15 years of experience with a focus on ground-up high-rise facilities, post-tensioned concrete, and steel structures. • Ability to quickly understand and master: ✔️ Requirements of local state and federal jurisdictions in relation to the Project. ✔️ Construction contract documents including front-end and technical specifications and drawings to readily understand and assess the requirements. ✔️ Working knowledge of engineering services, building codes, budgeting, and scheduling. • Must possess the skill set and competency to lead project OAC meetings and an understanding of how to influence design and construction staff with diverse skill sets. ✅ Preferred qualifications: • Experience with developer-led projects. • Experience in high-rise hospitality, luxury apartments, luxury clubs, etc. • PE, RA/AIA, CCM, PMP certifications.
