Responsibilities

Abundant Professional Services is a subsidiary of Abundant Staffing Agency, LLC, a global provider of Human Resources Consulting, Recruiting, and Training. Established since 2000. Renew Life, LLC is seeking a Direct Support Professional (DSP) with one to six months experience working with persons with disabilities in a private home, group home, day support, or other facilities. This is an immediate hire position in the Hampton Roads/Tidewater Area, Virginia. The salary is $15.00 per hour and the duty hours are various. Responsibilities: - Providing for and assisting with personal care needs, such as bathing, shaving, shampooing hair, dressing, and grooming, oral hygiene, and perineal care - Assisting with ambulating, including the use of canes (quad, std.), walkers and wheelchairs, when applicable - Assuring client safety and maintaining a safe environment - Responding to and reporting emergency situations to the company management staff and family - Reporting changes in client’s condition or family situation to the office - Maintaining client confidentiality - Documenting services provided - Performing home management functions, such as light housekeeping, laundry, bed making and cleaning
