This is the JOB AD section that is posted on job boards. It's not questions we ask in person.
Do You...
Get genuinely excited about testing campaign changes, analyzing the data, and optimizing for better results?
Think analytically rather than emotionally—trusting data over hunches, and learning just as much from failures as from wins?
Have hands-on experience managing substantial advertising budgets across multiple platforms (Google Ads, Facebook, TikTok, YouTube)?
Thrive on structured experimentation, documenting results, and systematically applying learnings to future campaigns?
Enjoy collaborating with creative, product, and engineering teams to solve growth problems end-to-end?
Have the discipline to work independently in a remote environment, maintain meticulous documentation, and report results weekly?
Combine the mindset of a scientist (hypothesis, testing, measurement) with the execution of an operator (speed, rigor, results)?
Take ownership of outcomes and continuously ask: 'How can we improve this?'
If you answered yes to most of these questions, we would love to talk to you!
Who You Are?
You are a hands-on marketing operator who believes paid advertising is a scientific discipline, not an art form. You have deep respect for data and an almost obsessive focus on continuous improvement.
Data-Driven Operator: You think in metrics and evidence. You've built campaigns, analyzed performance, and made real trade-off decisions based on data. You're not impressed by vanity metrics; you care about what actually moves revenue and customer acquisition cost.
Disciplined Experimenter: You design structured tests, document hypotheses and results, and apply learnings systematically to future work. You understand sample size, statistical significance, and why one-off observations are not learnings. You operate on a weekly cadence of testing, analyzing, and optimizing.
Collaborative but Independent: You work well with creative, product, and engineering teams, but you don't need hand-holding. You take ownership of your campaigns, manage your own workload, document decisions, and escalate thoughtfully. You're self-motivated and organized.
Clear Communicator: You explain complex marketing concepts in simple language. You provide data-backed recommendations to both technical and non-technical audiences. Your weekly reports are clear, actionable, and focused on what matters.
What Will You Do?
You will own the execution and optimization of paid acquisition campaigns across Google Ads, Microsoft Ads, YouTube, TikTok, and other digital platforms. Your mission is straightforward: acquire more profitable customers every month while continuously improving marketing efficiency.
You'll manage budgets starting at $20K and scaling based on performance. You'll collaborate with an in-house creative team and external agency partners. You'll maintain a disciplined weekly cadence of experimentation, analysis, and optimization. You'll identify opportunities to improve the acquisition funnel end-to-end—from ad click to paid member conversion.
This is an individual contributor role; you won't manage staff. But you'll have significant autonomy and direct access to the CEO for guidance and decision-making.
