As we scale aggressively across Tier-1 and Tier-2 cities, we are looking for a seasoned Country / Regional Operations Head to lead this charge.
Role Overview:
We are seeking an experienced and strategic HR Head to lead the Human Resources function for a fast-growing Food Delivery & Restaurant Aggregation Platform. The role requires building a high-performance culture while supporting rapid business expansion across Corporate, Technology, Operations, Customer Support, Sales, Marketing, and Delivery Partner functions. The HR Head will be responsible for developing people strategies, talent acquisition, employee engagement, HR operations, compliance, performance management, and leadership development to support sustainable organizational growth.
Key Responsibilities:
HR Strategy & Leadership:
- Develop and execute the overall HR strategy aligned with business objectives.
- Build scalable HR policies, frameworks, and governance.
- Partner with the CEO and leadership team on organizational growth initiatives.
- Lead workforce planning and organizational restructuring.
- Drive culture transformation and employee engagement initiatives.
Talent Acquisition:
- Lead end-to-end recruitment for corporate, technology, operations, and leadership positions.
- Develop hiring strategies for rapid business expansion.
- Build employer branding initiatives to attract top talent.
- Establish recruitment KPIs and improve hiring efficiency.
- Manage recruitment vendors and campus hiring partnerships.
Business Partnering:
- Collaborate with department heads on manpower planning.
- Support business leaders with employee relations and workforce decisions.
- Coach managers on people management and leadership practices.
- Drive organizational effectiveness and productivity initiatives.
Performance Management:
- Design and implement a robust Performance Management System (PMS).
- Drive goal setting, performance reviews, and succession planning.
- Develop leadership competency frameworks.
- Implement recognition and reward programs.
Employee Engagement & Culture:
- Build a positive and inclusive workplace culture.
- Conduct employee engagement surveys and action planning.
- Develop wellness, diversity, and inclusion initiatives.
- Lead grievance handling and conflict resolution.
HR Operations:
- Oversee onboarding and offboarding processes.
- Ensure accurate HR documentation and employee records.
- Manage HRIS and employee lifecycle processes.
- Improve HR service delivery through automation and digitalization.
Compensation & Benefits:
- Develop competitive compensation structures.
- Conduct salary benchmarking and market analysis.
- Manage payroll governance and incentive programs.
- Design employee retention strategies.
Compliance & Governance:
- Ensure compliance with labor laws and statutory regulations.
- Oversee disciplinary processes and investigations.
- Develop HR policies and standard operating procedures.
- Coordinate statutory audits and compliance reporting.
Learning & Development:
- Identify organizational training needs.
- Build leadership development programs.
- Develop career progression and succession planning frameworks.
- Promote continuous learning and capability building.
Delivery Partner HR Strategy:
- Develop HR strategies for delivery partner onboarding and engagement.
- Improve retention and satisfaction of delivery partners.
- Support workforce planning for seasonal demand.
- Collaborate with Operations to improve partner productivity and experience.
HR Analytics & Reporting:
- Present HR dashboards and workforce analytics to leadership.
- Monitor key HR metrics, including:
- Headcount.
- Attrition.
- Time-to-Hire.
- Offer Acceptance Rate.
- Employee Engagement.
- Training Effectiveness.
- Diversity Metrics.
- Productivity Indicators.
Qualifications & Experience:
Must-Have:
- MBA/PGDM in Human Resources or equivalent.
- 12–18+ years of progressive HR leadership experience.
- Experience in Food Delivery, Restaurant Aggregation, E-commerce, Quick Commerce, Retail, Logistics, or Technology industries is preferred.
- Proven experience leading large, geographically distributed teams.
Good to Have:
- Prior experience at Swiggy, Zomato, Blinkit, Dunzo, or comparable hyper-growth startups.
- Experience managing regulatory environments across multiple Indian states.
- Background in consumer tech product thinking — ability to partner credibly with Product and Engineering.
