About the 1099 Physician RoleWe're hiring for a 1099 Contracted Physician to join Curai Health's growing clinical care team. In this fully remote role, you'll deliver high-quality, patient-centered, virtual-first primary care to patients across the United States through video visits, live chats and secure messaging — all supported by Curai's advanced AI-powered clinical technology and proprietary electronic medical records (EMR) system. If you're a physician who's passionate about expanding access to care and excited about practicing at the intersection of medicine and technology, we'd love to hear from you.What You'll DoAs a 1099 contract physician, your clinical responsibilities will include but are not limited to:Conducting comprehensive virtual assessments, diagnoses, and evidence-based treatment for patients across various ages and backgrounds through text-based, and video visitsManaging and coordinating care for chronic conditionsProviding preventive care, wellness counseling, and health education to promote holistic well-beingOrdering and interpreting diagnostic tests and lab resultsPrescribing medications in accordance with state and federal regulationsHandling referrals and prior authorizationsAccurately and thoroughly documenting tasks and communications in the electronic medical record (EMR)Completing compliance tasks in a timely mannerMaintaining compliance with HIPAA and confidentiality standardsProducing clear and efficient encounter visit notes that showcase strong medical decision-making, comprehensive differential diagnoses, and relevant, well-structured care plansWhat You'l BringA Board-certified physician (MD or DO) degree from an accredited medical schoolBoard certification in Family Medicine or Internal Medicine requiredAt least 5 years of primary care experience, including adults and pediatricsActive, unrestricted physician licenses in a minimum of 15 states, including:At least 2 of the following: California, Texas, or FloridaPreference given to candidates with active licenses in: California, Colorado, Florida, Georgia, Illinois, Maryland, Massachusetts, Michigan, Missouri, Mississippi, New Hampshire, New Jersey, North Carolina, Ohio, Oklahoma, Pennsylvania, South Carolina, Tennessee, Texas, or WashingtonAt least 1 year of remote work experience preferredExcellent communication, clinical judgment, and patient engagement skillsA self-motivated and independent work style, with a strong capacity for teamwork and collaborationExceptional organizational skills and attention to detail, with the ability to manage your time effectively in a remote work environmentAdaptability to evolving technology, including AI-driven tools and digital platformsWhat We OfferRate: $110-135/hrThe rates listed for this position reflects what Curai Health reasonably and in good faith expects to pay at the time of posting.
