We partner with growing companies to streamline their operations, managing everything from administrative support to specialized financial workflows.We are currently seeking a highly skilled Staff Accountant / Full Charge Bookkeeper on behalf of one of our clients, a well-established, U.S.-based law firm.Position OverviewThe Staff Accountant / Full Charge Bookkeeper will independently manage the law firm’s day-to-day accounting operations, payroll coordination, billing, trust account management, and financial reporting.The ideal candidate possesses deep expertise in QuickBooks Online, a strong command of legal accounting principles, and hands-on experience managing IOLTA trust accounts. You will ensure absolute financial compliance and accuracy while working directly with the firm’s attorneys and external CPA.Key ResponsibilitiesAccounting, Bookkeeping & Financial ReportingMaintain precise, up-to-date financial records within QuickBooks Online.Record, categorize, and reconcile all bank accounts and credit card transactions.Prepare monthly financial statements, management reports, and general ledger reconciliations.Monitor accounts payable (AP) and accounts receivable (AR), investigating and resolving any financial discrepancies.IOLTA Trust Account ManagementManage and reconcile attorney trust accounts (IOLTA) in strict compliance with legal accounting regulations.Meticulously track client retainers, trust fund deposits, and trust disbursements.Prepare dedicated trust reports and regular reconciliations to safeguard compliance.Payroll & HR AdministrationCalculate employee wages, bonuses, commissions, and incentive structures.Process payroll and direct deposits, coordinating closely with the third-party payroll provider (Sustainable HR).Support new employee onboarding and payroll profile setup.Billing, Revenue & Expense ManagementGenerate accurate client invoices and coordinate with attorneys on complex billing matters.Monitor collections, follow up on outstanding receivables, and resolve billing discrepancies.Oversee purchasing, manage vendor records, schedule payments, and track office budgets.Tax & CPA CoordinationPrepare comprehensive year-end financial reports.Partner with the firm's external CPA for tax filings, providing all necessary supporting documentation during annual tax preparation.Job RequirementsExperience & EducationEducation: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a closely related field.Experience: 5+ years of dedicated accounting and full-charge bookkeeping experience.Industry Expertise: Prior experience working within a U.S.-based law firm is highly preferred.Technical & Software SkillsQuickBooks Online: Advanced, expert-level proficiency is mandatory.Excel: Advanced proficiency (data analysis, formulas, and reporting).Payroll & Tools: Experience with Sustainable HR (or similar payroll systems) and Bill.com is highly preferred.Legal Tech: Familiarity with legal practice management software is a strong plus.Core CompetenciesCompliance Mindset: Strong understanding of legal billing, retainer tracking, and IOLTA compliance.Communication: Exceptional written and verbal English communication skills.Execution: Highly organized with an extreme attention to detail, capable of working independently with minimal supervision.Job DetailsEmployment Type: Full-Time (40 Hours per Week)Location: RemoteWorking Hours: Must be available to work during U.S. Business Hours (Night Shift PKT)Compensation & Benefits:Base Salary: Market Competitive.Allowances: Internet, Electricity, and Wellbeing.Performance-based bonuses.
