Responsibilities
We are looking for a Senior / Staff Java Engineer to support the modernization of enterprise platforms. This role requires strong expertise in modern Java services, along with experience transitioning from low-code platforms to scalable, cloud-native architectures. The engineer will work closely with platform, UX, and DevOps teams to build reliable, observable, and maintainable systems.Experience: 8–14 years (Senior / Staff level)Work Location: Chennai / Bangalore / Pan IndiaKey ResponsibilitiesDesign, develop, and maintain modern Java-based services using contemporary frameworks and best practicesWork with basic React to pick up and support Onyx for a simple front-end layerLead or contribute to the conversion or replacement of low-code platforms (e.g., PowerApps) with custom-built solutionsCollaborate across SharePoint, Logic Apps, and Azure Function Apps during platform transition phasesEnsure strong focus on observability, testability, and CI/CD pipelinesParticipate in DevOps and infrastructure-as-code discussions, contributing from an application engineering perspectiveWork closely with UX teams and implement features based on UX designs currently in progressCollaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure smooth delivery and platform stabilityMandatory Skills & ExperienceStrong hands-on experience in modern Java service developmentExposure to React (basic familiarity sufficient to work with Onyx)Experience migrating from or replacing low-code platforms such as PowerAppsWorking knowledge of SharePoint, Logic Apps, and Function AppsStrong understanding of observability, logging, monitoring, and testing practicesHands-on experience with CI/CD pipelinesDevOps awareness, with the ability to contribute to infrastructure-as-code discussionsAbility to work from UX designs and collaborate closely with design teamsStrong communication and stakeholder collaboration skillsGood to HaveExperience working in platform modernization or enterprise transformation programsCloud experience (Azure preferred)Exposure to microservices, distributed systems, and integration-heavy environmentsWhy This RoleOpportunity to work on complex platform modernizationHigh ownership and impact at a Senior / Staff engineering levelCollaboration with strong product, UX, and platform teams
