You set the strategy, build the team, decide how we work with agencies, and carry the number. You report to the Head of Growth Marketing.Own the organic growth strategy and roadmap, OKRs, and budget.Grow qualified organic traffic and improve conversion from organic visitors to activated users and pipeline.Move Brex’s share of voice in AI-generated answers for corporate cards, expense management, and business banking, and stand up tracking to know if you’re winning.Recover and surpass keyword positions lost to competitors in recent algorithm shifts.Stand up a content production engine that ships work that ranks, without every piece needing a senior review.Cut the vendor stack down, make what’s left accountable, and decide what should move in-house.Hire and develop the team; inherit part of the org, grow it from there, and set the editorial, technical, and AI-native bar.Where you’ll workThis role will be based in our Seattle office. We are a hybrid environment that combines the energy and connections of being in the office with the benefits and flexibility of working from home. We currently require a minimum of two coordinated days in the office per week, Wednesday and Thursday. Starting February 2, 2026, we will require three days per week in office - Monday, Wednesday and Thursday. As a perk, we also have up to four weeks per year of fully remote work!ResponsibilitiesSet the organic growth strategy and own the roadmap, OKRs, and budget. You’re accountable for how Brex shows up organically.Build Brex’s AEO/GEO playbook: own how Brex shows up in ChatGPT, Perplexity, Gemini, Claude, and Google AI Overviews, including citation strategy, content structured for model retrieval, and tracking.Co-own the technical SEO roadmap with web engineering: site architecture, Core Web Vitals, schema, crawl, and page performance; translate SEO needs into specs engineers can ship.Run content strategy and production for organic: set the editorial bar, own the calendar, and build a production process that doesn’t bottleneck on you.Unify presence across Reddit, G2, YouTube, and other community and review surfaces into one discoverability strategy.Get sales and partnerships up to speed on how organic and AI search are changing and what that means in competitive deals.Be a culture carrier for the Growth Marketing team and model the AI-native, high-ownership way of working.RequirementsExperience: 8+ years in SEO, organic growth, or digital marketing, with at least 3 years leading a team and owning strategy and budget at a B2B SaaS, fintech, or technology company.Pipeline orientation: connect organic channels to pipeline, revenue, and business outcomes; think in SQLs, activation rates, and CAC efficiency.Technical SEO depth: read crawl logs, diagnose Core Web Vitals issues, direct schema implementations, and partner credibly with engineers on site architecture decisions.AI visibility fluency: actively experimented with citation strategies, structured content for model consumption, or measured share of voice in answer engines.Content instincts: understand content that earns trust vs. content that fills a page; experience building/managing content operations at scale with high editorial standards.Vendor management judgment: manage agencies and hold them to outcomes, and know when to stop outsourcing and bring work in-house.Comfort with ambiguity: make consequential decisions with incomplete data; prefer building a function from scratch.Experimentation mindset: treat failure as feedback; run experiments, kill what doesn’t work quickly, and double down on what does.Bonus pointsNavigated a major Google algorithm update that materially impacted your business and can explain diagnosis, adaptation, and recovery.Understand retrieval-augmented generation systems selecting/ranking sources and translate that into actionable content and structural strategy.Use AI and automation tools in your own workflows; practitioner not just strategist.Experience in a regulated or compliance-sensitive industry.CompensationThe expected salary range for this role is $220,000 - $276,000. However, the starting base pay will depend on factors including the candidate’s location, skills, experience, market demands, and internal pay parity. Depending on the position offered, equity and other forms of compensation may be provided as part of a total compensation package.
