Ongoing retainer not a one-off projectAbout the RoleWe are looking for a hands-on Freelance Technical SEO Specialist to join our in-house Marketing team on an ongoing part-time basis. We need a reliable executor who ships tactical SEO work every week: meta data, schema, hreflang fixes, technical ticket queue management with our IT team, and on-page optimisation across 30+ market sites. The role reports to our Head of Organic Marketing.This is a tactical execution role. It is not an SEO audit role (we have an auditor in place), not a strategy role (we have a senior advisor), and not a content or PR role (handled separately). If you like shipping clean technical SEO work consistently rather than writing roadmaps, you’ll thrive here.What You’ll DoImplement on-page SEO across 30+ country sites: title tags, meta descriptions, headings, internal linkingManage and ship technical SEO tickets in our project management system, working alongside the IT and development teamsSchema markup, structured data, and rich result implementation (Product, Review, Organization, Breadcrumb, FAQ)Hreflang corrections, international SEO debugging, ccTLD and subdomain consistencySitemap, canonical, robots.txt, and indexation hygiene across all market versionsCore Web Vitals tactical improvements (image optimisation, lazy loading, render-blocking)Redirect mapping and post-launch QA for migrations and category changesDaily Search Console monitoring, surfacing crawl errors, indexation drops, and ranking issuesLocalisation QA on SEO elements across translationsLight keyword research and content briefing support where requiredWhat We’re Looking ForAt least 3 years hands-on technical SEO experience, ideally in an e-commerce or agency environmentStrong command of Google Search Console, GA4, Screaming Frog, Ahrefs or SemrushComfortable with HTML, CSS, JSON-LD schema, and regexExperience with multi-region and multi-language sites is a strong plus (hreflang, ccTLDs, subdomains)Comfortable working tickets in Jira, Asana, or similar project management toolsReliable, organised, and ships on time.
