# Senior QA Engineer — Job Description **Experience:** 6–7 Years **Salary:** As per industry standards **Job Type:** Full-time ## About the Role We are looking for an experienced **Senior QA Engineer** who can take ownership of software quality across the development lifecycle. The ideal candidate should have strong expertise in manual and automation testing, excellent problem-solving skills, and the ability to work closely with developers, product managers, and other stakeholders. ## Key Responsibilities * Design, develop, and execute comprehensive test plans, test cases, and test scenarios. * Perform functional, regression, integration, system, and end-to-end testing. * Develop and maintain automated test scripts and frameworks. * Identify, document, track, and verify software defects throughout the testing lifecycle. * Collaborate with developers and product teams to understand requirements and ensure complete test coverage. * Participate in requirement analysis, sprint planning, code reviews, and release activities. * Perform API testing and validate backend services. * Conduct database testing and verify data integrity. * Identify potential quality risks and recommend improvements. * Ensure applications meet performance, reliability, usability, and security expectations. * Mentor junior QA team members and contribute to improving QA processes and best practices. * Prepare test reports and communicate testing progress, risks, and results to stakeholders. ## Required Skills & Qualifications * 6–7 years of experience in Software Quality Assurance/Testing. * Strong experience in both **Manual and Automation Testing**. * Proficiency with automation testing tools/frameworks such as **Selenium, Cypress, Playwright, or similar**. * Strong knowledge of **API testing** using tools such as Postman or equivalent. * Good understanding of **SQL and database testing**. * Experience with **JIRA or similar defect/project management tools**. * Strong understanding of SDLC, STLC, Agile/Scrum methodologies, and QA best practices. * Experience with **Git and CI/CD pipelines** is preferred. * Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills. * Excellent communication and collaboration skills. * Ability to independently manage testing activities and take ownership of product quality. ## What We Offer * Competitive compensation aligned with **industry standards**. * Opportunity to work on challenging and impactful projects. * Collaborative and growth-oriented work environment. * Opportunities to learn and work with modern testing tools and technologies.
