This role is ideal for a technical leader coming from a frontend, backend, or mobile engineering background who can effectively guide cross-functional teams and collaborate across the broader platform ecosystem.The ideal candidate will bring deep expertise in at least one primary engineering discipline while maintaining strong architectural awareness across frontend, backend, mobile, and cloud infrastructure environments. This role requires excellent communication skills, strong technical judgment, and the ability to partner closely with both engineering teams and client stakeholders.Key Responsibilities:Lead and coordinate a distributed team of frontend, backend, mobile, and DevOps engineersProvide architectural guidance across all layers of the platformDrive technical decision-making and ensure alignment with the client’s engineering guidelines and product roadmapConduct code reviews and enforce coding standards and best practicesServe as the primary technical point of contact between the delivery team and client stakeholdersIdentify technical risks and proactively propose mitigation strategiesFacilitate sprint planning, standups, and retrospectives in collaboration with project managementSupport cross-functional collaboration across frontend, backend, mobile, and infrastructure teamsRequired Skills:8+ years of hands-on software engineering experience3+ years in a technical lead, staff engineer, or architect-level role leading cross-functional teamsStrong hands-on engineering experience in at least one primary domain:Frontend engineering (React / Next.js)Backend engineering (Node.js / Fastify)Mobile engineering (React Native)Working understanding of adjacent disciplines across frontend, backend, mobile, and cloud infrastructure environmentsFamiliarity with modern cloud infrastructure and deployment environments such as Kubernetes and Cloud Run. Hands-on DevOps expertise is not required, but candidates should understand the infrastructure supporting the applications they work onStrong communication skills and ability to collaborate effectively across US time zonesNice to Have:Exposure to technologies such as Elasticsearch, Redis / Valkey, and headless CMS platforms like SanityPrior experience in sports, media, or entertainment platformsExperience with CI/CD pipelines and infrastructure-as-codeFamiliarity with performance optimization and caching strategies at scale
