The 4 biggest blockchain strengths are also its weaknessPermissionless nature leads to fragmentation of meaningDecentralization leads to
too many standardsImmutability leads to exponential data + query infrastructure complexityNeutrality means that no one is accountable for interpretationsBlockchain data is public. It is not usable at institutional scale. Despite being open, blockchain data is fragmented, hard to interpret, and painful to maintain. Even a simple question like “Who are the largest Ethereum token holders over time?” can require running nodes, ingesting full chain history, decoding contracts, cleaning edge cases, and writing complex SQL.Blockchains are optimized for writes, not reads. They are built for consensus and execution, not searchability, standardization, or financial interpretation.
Blockchains are computers, not databases. Every protocol defines its own schema. The same economic action can be encoded in dozens of different ways. The result:Fragmented standardsExponential complexityNo accountability for interpretationEvents without economic meaningFinance cannot operate on that, it needs an effective system of record.Allium is building the System of Record for Onchain FinanceAllium ingests, verifies, and standardizes data across 140+ blockchains and 30+ petabytes of history. We close four structural gaps that prevent blockchains from becoming systems of record:Semantic Gap: Translating raw events into financial concepts like payments, trades, deposits, and staking incomeStandardization Gap: Mapping thousands of protocols into a single canonical cross chain schemaInfrastructure Gap: Read optimized, globally distributed data at web scaleAccountability Gap: Auditable methodology, SLAs, and SOC 1 and 2 complianceThe result is a neutral, canonical data layer institutions can build on with confidence.Finance is moving onchainStablecoins, tokenized assets, trading, staking, and lending are growing rapidly. Institutions need a trusted source of truth for onchain financial activity, just as they rely on Bloomberg or DTCC in traditional markets. Raw blockchains cannot serve that role.
As AI agents begin transacting autonomously, the requirement becomes even stricter. Agents cannot reason over raw event logs. They need structured data, attribution, condition checks, and auditability.Allium is the read layer that makes onchain finance usable for humans and machines.Who We ServeAllium powers three core personas with the same canonical data foundation:1. Finance, Accounting, and Risk Teams They need reliable, audit grade answers. They rely on Allium for financial reporting, reconciliation, compliance, risk monitoring, and defensible metrics that can stand up to auditors and regulators.2. Engineers and Product Teams They need low latency, production ready infrastructure. They use Allium to power wallets, trading systems, payment rails, staking infrastructure, and real time applications that cannot break.3. Strategy, Research, and Executive Teams They need clarity and insight. They use Allium to understand ecosystem economics, market structure, user behavior, competitive dynamics, and where capital is flowing onchain. And of course...agents 🦞. Our customers and users include Visa, Stripe, G-SIB Banks, Big 4 Accounting firms, BCG, Coinbase, Phantom, Uniswap and cited by the Federal Reserve. Essence of the RoleAllium is proving that a canonical, enterprise-grade data layer for onchain finance is possible, and it’s working. Our institutional business is growing fast, with relationships spanning major banks, payment networks, asset managers, and regulators. Ahead of us: a large and growing list of institutional targets, a pipeline of concrete deals across those same segments, and a product line shipping faster than our story can keep pace with.We already have a clear vision for where Allium is going. The role is to ensure the market understands it by deeply understanding our customers, refining how we position our products, and helping every launch land with institutional buyers. We need someone who can turn a fast-moving, technical roadmap into segment-specific sales ammunition (payments, issuance, trading, custody, lending, research) at the volume and speed a scaling institutional pipeline now demands, while keeping our competitive story sharp as more banks, exchanges, and asset managers evaluate us against alternatives. This is a product-first, execution-heavy role, covering the entire Allium product suite. Content marketing (e.g., website, social, and top-of-funnel distribution) live with our Growth Marketing function. You'll spend your time in target-account strategy, competitive positioning, and launch enablement for long, multi-stakeholder institutional deals, working in daily partnership with Product and Sales.Key ResponsibilitiesBecome the Voice of the Institutional Buyer: Develop a deep understanding of how each customer segment thinks, evaluates vendors, and makes decisions, then translate those insights into positioning, messaging, and sales enablement that resonates.Competitive War Room: Own and keep current our competitive positioning against crypto-native data providers and other alternatives (including customers' in-house build option), and arm Sales to win head-to-head evaluations as institutional scrutiny increases.Launch Translation: Partner with Product to turn new capabilities into customer value, ensuring every launch clearly communicates why it matters, who it's for, and why institutions should care.Packaging & Pricing Support: Work with Sales and RevOps to develop language and materials for evolving pricing and packaging motions (e.g. usage-based data plans, trial structures) that reduce friction in enterprise deal cycles.Win/Loss & Account Intelligence: Run structured win/loss interviews across a fast-growing named-account list, and turn what you learn into sharper battlecards, refined ICP definitions, and roadmap input.Research-Driven Proof: Partner with our research/analyst function to package data-driven reports and case studies (e.g. stablecoin and tokenized-asset research) into sales-ready proof points and thought leadership that open doors with new institutional targets.Cross-Functional Partnership: Work daily with Product (translating platform/user feedback into roadmap-informed messaging), Sales/RevOps (pipeline and account rigor), and Growth Marketing (distribution) to keep product truth, market truth, and field execution in sync.About YouExperience: 5+ years in product marketing for a technical or data-centric product, ideally with exposure to enterprise/complex sales cycles; experience marketing to banks, asset managers, market infrastructure operators, or other regulated financial institutions is a strong plus.Built for execution at scale, not just strategy: You can produce a steady stream of segment-specific collateral without sacrificing quality. This role is as much about throughput as insight, given how many institutional segments and accounts we're supporting at once.Institutional fluency: Comfortable with the language of custody, settlement, reconciliation, market structure, market surveillance, and compliance. You are able to speak credibly to a compliance officer or a bank's Head of Digital Assets as well as the hands-on developer.Competitive instinct: Enjoys the sharp-elbows work of competitive positioning, building battlecards, running win/loss, and training Sales to win specific deals through competitive brand narrative.Product fluency: Comfortable getting into product and data details; you can sit in a roadmap review or read a data model and translate it into a buyer-facing story.Customer-obsessed: Treats win/loss and customer interviews as a standing habit, versus an afterthought, and uses them to sharpen positioning and influence roadmap.Collaborative operator: Works fluidly with Product, Engineering, GTM, and Growth Marketing as the connective tissue across teams.Curious and data-minded: A level of curiosity to dig into data, uncover insights, and turn them into differentiated, defensible narratives.Blockchain, data infra, & TradFi proficiency: Solid understanding of blockchain technology and how it intersects with traditional financial market structure (payments, custody, trading, settlement), with the ability to communicate fluently with both crypto-native and TradFi, technical and non-technical, stakeholders.Administrative BenefitsMedical, Dental, Vision, Life and AD&D insurance - US folks get 100% coverage for Gold plans, 80% for dependentsOwnership - Meaningful early-stage equity.
