You are building and scaling the acquisition and conversion engine that turns prospects into loyal Pura owners.A critical focus of this role is owning the retail to Direct-to-Consumer (DTC) conversion path—building the strategy to migrate customers who purchase retail into our DTC subscription ecosystem. You’re not inheriting a playbook; you’re building one to capture “anonymous” retail buyers and turn them into high-value, long-term subscribers.You’ll be accountable for business outcomes (not just activity metrics) and present strategy and performance directly to senior leadership. You thrive with autonomy, move fast with imperfect information, and bring a growth marketing mindset to everything you do.What You’ll OwnRetail-to-DTC Bridge: Architect strategic conversion paths that turn “anonymous” retail buyers into known subscribers, designing and influencing lifecycle systems that migrate customers from physical aisles to Pura’s digital ecosystem.Dual-Track Conversion Strategy: Optimize two parallel paths—lead-to-first-purchase and retail-activation-to-subscription—balancing immediate revenue with long-term retention.Integrated Campaign Authority: Lead the promotional calendar, ensuring brand moments and “one-time” events are architected to fuel sustainable, compounding subscriber growth.Agency Leadership: Own relationships with external partners via high-level strategic briefs rooted in audience psychology; ensure agencies are held accountable for strategic quality, performance, and impact.Cross-Functional Architecture: Serve as the primary lifecycle lead for Brand, Growth, and Product teams, ensuring a unified customer experience from first touch through final device setup.Revenue Accountability: Define and own the “North Star” metrics for the activation funnel, including reporting on retail capture rates, activation velocity, and commercial health of new cohorts.Strategic Mentorship: Raise the bar for strategic thinking by mentoring junior members on measurement rigor, brief writing, and operational excellence.What You Bring10+ Years of Experience: A seasoned background in marketing with mastery of conversion and activation stages of the customer journey in a high-growth environment.Advanced Data Fluency: The ability to audit data structures, identify tracking gaps, and advocate for technical setups required for real-time personalization.Commercial Mastery: Proven track record of scaling subscription engines and optimizing first-purchase behavior to drive maximum Lifetime Value (LTV).Technical Literacy: Advanced proficiency in Braze (or similar) and ability to translate complex system data into clear, strategic narratives for executive leadership.LTV & Retention Strategy: Deep understanding of behavioral triggers that drive initial conversion and long-term subscription stickiness.Leadership & Influence: Experience leading cross-functional strategy across Brand and Retail teams while mentoring junior talent to raise the team’s operational bar.Optimization Rigor: Experience building and executing sophisticated multivariate testing roadmaps that produce systemic, measurable improvements in activation rates.Bonus QualificationsData & CDP Optimization: Ability to facilitate a CDP transition by ensuring data architecture is structured for high-conversion, real-time marketing.Retail-to-DTC Expertise: Specific success migrating “offline” retail customers and gift recipients into owned, brand-direct digital channels.High-Growth & Premium Brands: Experience in fast-scaling eCommerce or a premium consumer brand where “Scent Design” or aesthetic-led storytelling was central.Pura’s StoryWe’re passionate about creating spaces that inspire, elevate, and transform everyday life.
