They provide the resources needed to get work done without having to sit in a cubicle or office. Active interns get first pick for the following semester internship spots. This isn’t an internship to organize files; interns are integrated into a team to understand how it operates and the fundamentals of a strong career in PR. Interns are expected to meet deadlines, respond to messages in a timely manner, and proactively communicate with their team.Potential Responsibilities IncludeSocial Media Strategy and Content ManagementDevelop expertise in social media strategy and content management; assist the team in the design, execution, and management of content across various platformsBuild weekly and monthly editorial calendars to promote client brands on various social media platformsEnsure brand message is consistentContent CreationCreate and distribute content such as gifs, infographics, videos, and photos on social mediaSupport the creative process by designing graphics and producing short video content (e.g., reels and TikToks) to showcase client productsCreate compelling graphics to share across social channelsWrite social media captions that speak to the client’s target audienceHelp create and edit short form videosAssist with photo/video shootsCommunity ManagementAssist in monitoring comments on social media posts, engaging with followers, and identifying/flagging posts where clients have been tagged or mentionedTrack social media engagement and use social listening to identify high-performing ideas and trends for scalabilityParticipate in community management and engagement, including responding to comments and DMs and searching for UGC on social mediaCreative Brainstorming and IdeationContribute to team brainstorming sessions, providing ideas for social media campaigns and content aligned with client goals and objectivesPerform social media research on competitive brands and the overall social media landscape; make recommendationsBrainstorm and research ideas for original contentSuggest new strategies for increasing engagementMaintenance of Social Media LinksCompile product links for social posts and request attribution links from partnersManage and update “link in bio” sections across social platforms to ensure links are currentRequirements for a successful candidateYou must be a rising sophomore, junior, or seniorPrevious internship experience in social media marketing required3.0 GPA or aboveBe able to commit at least 15 hours a week during office hours (8-5 in your time zone)Excellent writing skillsStrong affinity and familiarity with social media platforms; be an active social media user with a passion for social media and stay on top of and curious about trendsStrong organizational abilitiesProfessional demeanor and drive to succeedEagerness to learn and willingness to ask questionsResourceful attitude and keen attention to detailCollege credit and reimbursement notePrior to applying, please contact your College or University Career Center and verify eligibility to receive College Credits for an Internship (accepting credit hours is not necessary to accept an offer). If selected, Brilliant will reimburse you $250 each month for using your personal cell phone, computer, and home internet.Internship StructureInternship is split into two sessions, each lasting approximately 8 months. Spring/Summer Session: starting December 15th and ending September 1st. While these are preferred timelines, Brilliant is flexible with potential start and end dates based on candidate availability.
