Rotor Clip Company is seeking technically qualified Regional Sales Managers to drive revenue growth, develop new applications, and expand our market presence within assigned U.S. territories.This is an engineering-focused technical sales position that requires a strong mechanical engineering foundation, combined with the ability to develop customer relationships and identify new business opportunities. The Regional Sales Manager will work directly with customer engineering teams to understand applications, evaluate technical requirements, recommend appropriate products, and support the development of engineered solutions.The successful candidate must be comfortable discussing mechanical assemblies, engineering drawings, dimensions, tolerances, materials, manufacturing processes, operating conditions, and performance requirements with design engineers, manufacturing engineers, quality professionals, procurement teams, and other technical personnel.Key ResponsibilitiesTechnical Sales & Application SupportServe as a technical resource for customers regarding the design, selection, fit, function, and application of Rotor Clip products.Review and interpret engineering drawings, dimensions, tolerances, specifications, materials, and application requirements.Work directly with customer engineering teams to understand mechanical assemblies, operating conditions, performance requirements, and design challenges.Recommend appropriate retaining rings, wave springs, and other engineered components based on application requirements.Provide guidance regarding product selection, materials, manufacturability, tolerances, and value engineering.Identify opportunities for custom-engineered solutions when standard products do not meet customer requirements.Coordinate with Rotor Clip Engineering on complex applications and new product opportunities.Territory Growth & Account ManagementManage and grow sales within an assigned geographic territory.Develop new customers, applications, and business opportunities while expanding business within existing accounts.Build and maintain a strong pipeline of leads, projects, quotations, and new business opportunities.Identify customer programs early in the design and development process and pursue opportunities to have Rotor Clip products specified in new applications.Manage opportunities from initial technical discussions through quotation, sampling, qualification, and production.Customer EngagementConduct regular in-person and virtual meetings with customer engineering, procurement, manufacturing, quality, and management teams.Serve as a primary technical and commercial point of contact for assigned customers.Build strong relationships with customer engineering organizations and key decision-makers.Conduct technical presentations, product training, and lunch-and-learn sessions.Maintaponsiveness, communication, and consistent follow-through.Cross-Functional CollaborationWork closely with Rotor Clip Engineering, Estimating, Customer Service, Quality, Manufacturing, and Marketing.Gather and communicate accurate technical information required for engineering review and quotation.Coordinate customer requirements with internal teams to support successful project execution.Assist lity concerns, application questions, and delivery challenges.Communicate customer requirements, competitive activity, market conditions, and significant business opportunities to appropriate internal teams.Business Development & Market ExpansionIdentify new customers, applications, and growth opportunities within target markets.Prospect for new engineering and business opportunities throughout the assigned territory.Support targeted marketing initiatives and new product introductions.Participate hnical events, customer conferences, and other business development activities.Monitor emerging market trends and applications relevant to Rotor Clip products and manufacturing capabilities.Travel & Territory CoverageTravel throughout the assigned territory for customer meetings, technical presentations, business development, and account support.Expected travel is approximately 25%–40%.Plan travel strategically to maximize customer engagement and effective territory coverage.Candidates must reside within reasonable driving distance of a major commercial airport or be willing to relocate to an approved territory location.Required QualificationsBachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering strongly preferred.A bachelor's degree in a closely related engineering discipline may be considered with demonstrated mechanical engineering knowledge and experience.3–7 years of relevant professional experience lication engineering, mechanical design, product engineering, manufacturing engineering, or a related technical role.Strong mechanical aptitude and understanding of mechanical components and assemblies.Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, dimensions, tolerances, GD&T, and technical specifications.Working knowledge of engineering materials and manufacturing processes.Ability to understand component interaction and functionality within mechanical assemblies.Strong analytical and technical problem-solving skills.Ability to communicate effectively with engineers and other technical personnel.Strong written, verbal, organizational, and time-management skills.Ability to work independently and effectively manage an assigned geographic territory.Ability and willingness to travel approximately 25%–40%.Must be authorized to work in the United States on a permanent basis without current or future employment sponsorship.Important: Degrees primarily focused on civil engineering, computer engineering, computer science, software engineering, or disciplines without a substantial mechanical engineering foundation generally do not meet the technical requirements of this position.Preferred QualificationsExperience with precision mechanical components such as retaining rings, springs, fasteners, bearings, stampings, machined components, or similar engineered products.Experience withospace, medical devices, oil and gas, industrial equipment, or other manufacturing markets.Experience lication engineering, design engineering, manufacturing engineering, or another customer-facing technical role.Experience working directly with OEM engineering organizations.Knowledge of metals, material properties, heat treatment, coatings, tolerancing, and manufacturing processes.Experience with CRM platforms such as HubSpot or Salesforce.Candidate ProfileThe ideal candidate combines mechanical engineering knowledge, technical problem-solving ability, business development skills, and strong customer relationship capabilities.This individual should be technically curious, commercially motivated, self-directed, and comfortable working directly with customer engineering teams.
