Requirements and responsibilities
What You'll Do:
- Design and build highly scalable backend systems.
- Own architecture from concept to production.
- Build secure APIs and distributed microservices.
- Optimize databases for high-volume workloads.
- Design event-driven systems and asynchronous processing.
- Improve system performance, observability, and reliability.
- Lead technical design reviews.
- Mentor senior engineers and establish engineering standards.
- Drive infrastructure automation and CI/CD improvements.
- Collaborate with AI, frontend, and DevOps teams.
Required Qualifications:
- 10+ years building production backend systems.
- Expert-level proficiency in Go, Rust, Java, Kotlin, or C#.
- Deep knowledge of distributed systems.
- Extensive experience with microservices.
- Strong API design (REST & GraphQL).
- Advanced SQL expertise (PostgreSQL preferred).
- Experience with Redis.
- Event streaming (Kafka, RabbitMQ, NATS).
- Docker & Kubernetes.
- AWS, Azure, or GCP.
- Infrastructure as Code.
- CI/CD pipelines.
- Strong understanding of system design.
- Experience leading architecture for high-scale platforms.
Bonus Points:
- Experience building AI infrastructure.
- Experience with vector databases.
- Experience with event sourcing.
- CQRS architecture.
- Multi-region deployments.
- FinTech, HealthTech, or SaaS experience.
