Technical Leadership:
- Lead the technical development of Qui from initial product through launch and scale.
- Own the technical architecture and make key decisions across mobile, backend, database, APIs, cloud infrastructure, and security.
- Work closely with the Founder and CEO to translate the product vision and designs into a high-quality, scalable platform.
- Build hands-on during the early stages while establishing strong engineering practices for future growth.
- Evaluate and integrate third-party technologies and APIs where appropriate.
- Help recruit and lead the future engineering team.
- Contribute to product strategy, fundraising discussions, technical due diligence, and the overall direction of the company.
- Ensure appropriate standards for security, privacy, reliability, and healthcare-related data considerations.
Requirements:
- Significant professional software engineering experience, ideally at the Senior, Staff, Principal, Engineering Lead, or equivalent level.
- Strong experience building and launching consumer-facing web and/or mobile products.
- Experience with modern backend architecture, databases, APIs, cloud infrastructure, and scalable systems.
- Ability and willingness to be hands-on and build, not only manage.
- Strong product judgment and ability to turn early-stage concepts and designs into working technology.
- Comfortable operating in an early-stage startup environment with ambiguity and rapid iteration.
- Strong communication skills and professional fluency in English.
- Entrepreneurial mindset and genuine interest in joining as a long-term technical co-founder.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with healthcare, marketplaces, location-based discovery, recommendation systems, reviews/community platforms, AI-enabled products, or previous startup experience.
