Vortexa is recruiting a senior oil market analyst, ideally with experience across the barrel (crude and refined products), as well as freight markets, and based in Singapore to join our Market Intelligence team. You will play a leading role in our data and market analytics, with a focus on the Asia Pacific region, but firmly part of a talented global team. Responsibilities: - Combine your deep market knowledge and analytical skills with our vast data resources and intuitive analytics platform to extract meaning, distill new trends ahead of others, and therefore provide unique market understanding to our users. - Analyze trade flows, the relation to supply, demand and inventory changes, the pricing realm (oil prices and structure, arbitrage differentials, refining margins, freight costs), and the repercussions of shipping industry fundamentals. - Work in close collaboration with market and data analyst colleagues in London, Dubai and Houston to build a complete view of the global oil and gas markets and identify the key implications and leading indicators of our data for our commodities and shipping clients. - Fulfill client requests on deadline in a fast-paced environment, provide customers with analytical support via weekly conference calls, presentations and succinct write-ups. - Attend relevant industry events and take pride in building and maintaining a strong network of professional relationships. - Offer your thought-leading views on global market trends, to our clients and the media on a regular basis.
