In this role, you will own architectural strategy end-to-end—driving system design decisions, setting engineering standards, and guiding teams as they build scalable, secure, and high-performing systems.You will play a key role in defining how our platforms evolve, with a strong emphasis on cloud infrastructure, distributed systems, and data architecture. Beyond hands-on technical leadership, you’ll help cultivate a strong engineering culture focused on quality, clarity, and continuous improvement.ResponsibilitiesDefine and lead the architecture of complex, cloud-based systems with a focus on scalability, reliability, and securityDesign and evolve data architectures, including data models, pipelines, and lifecycle management practicesPartner closely with product, engineering, and business stakeholders to translate requirements into robust technical designsEstablish and uphold best practices across software design, development workflows, and deployment strategiesEvaluate, select, and integrate cloud platforms, databases, and supporting technologiesProvide technical leadership and mentorship to engineering teams, raising overall technical standardsReview system designs and implementations, offering clear, actionable feedbackCreate and maintain architectural documentation to ensure clarity and long-term maintainabilityDrive improvements in development processes, tooling, and engineering methodologiesImplement data governance and security practices to ensure integrity, consistency, and complianceStay current with emerging technologies and architectural patterns to inform future platform evolutionMinimum QualificationsBachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related discipline8+ years of professional software development experience, with significant focus on cloud architecturesDeep experience with one or more cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud)Strong foundation in software architecture principles, design patterns, and best practicesProven experience designing and leading large-scale, distributed systemsSolid expertise in database technologies (SQL and NoSQL) and data management conceptsHands-on experience with data architectures, including data warehousing, ETL pipelines, and governance modelsProficiency in at least one modern programming language (Python, Java, C#, or JavaScript)Experience with DevOps practices such as CI/CD, infrastructure as code, and automated testingStrong analytical and problem-solving skills with a system-level mindsetExcellent communication and leadership abilities, capable of influencing cross-functional teamsComfortable working in agile environments with a collaborative, ownership-driven approach
