Role OverviewWe are seeking a Medical Science Liaison to join Tenpoint Therapeutics as a trusted scientific partner to physicians and healthcare providers. This is an external-facing role responsible for building and maintaining strategic relationships with key opinion leaders, facilitating scientific exchange, data dissemination, and supporting medical education initiatives. You will play a critical role in communicating clinical and scientific information, gathering field insights, and serving as a bridge between the medical community and internal teams across Tenpoint Therapeutics.This position covers the Northeast and Mid-Atlantic region, and you must be based in Boston, MA, or New York, New York areas. Willingness to travel up to 60%-70%.Key ResponsibilitiesScientific Engagement & KOL DevelopmentBuild long-term, trust-based relationships with physicians, eye care professionals, and researchers to serve as a trusted scientific partnerRespond to unsolicited requests for medical information with fair, balanced, and scientifically accurate informationResponsible for the development and maintenance of a strategic engagement planMaintain timely and accurate documentation of field activities within the CRM systemExecutes on MSL goals and objectives in alignment with Medical Affairs strategic plansScientific Exchange & InsightsFacilitate high-quality scientific discussions around clinical data, unmet needs, and real-world application of clinical insightsConduct quality scientific presentations to educate external expertsGather and synthesize actionable insights from external engagement to inform medical strategy, evidence generation, and educational initiativesProvide feedback to internal stakeholders on emerging trends, unmet needs, and competitive developments within the therapeutic landscapeMaintain a high level of therapeutic area expertise and stay informed on scientific developments and trends in the presbyopia clinical landscapeCross-Functional CollaborationWork closely with Medical Affairs, Commercial, and Marketing to ensure aligned, compliant execution of field activitiesContribute to ongoing scientific and medical trainings within the MSL team and other internal partnersSupport congress strategy through attending relevant sessions, staffing the medical booth, synthesizing insights, and proactively facilitating KOL engagement with internal partners and leadershipExperienceAdvanced scientific or clinical degree required (PharmD, PhD, MD, DO, NP, PA, or equivalent)Previous experience or relevant knowledge in ophthalmology, optometry, or eye care preferred3+ years of experience as a Medical Science Liaison or in a related field-based medical role within the pharmaceutical, biotech, or medical device industriesDeep scientific and clinical knowledge in ophthalmology or optometry, with the ability to engage credibly with leading researchers and cliniciansProven ability to build and manage relationships with key opinion leaders and academic institutionsStrong communication skills, with the ability to translate complex scientific data into clear, meaningful dialogueDemonstrated ability to gather, synthesize, and communicate field insights to inform strategyStrategic mindset with comfort operating in dynamic, evolving environmentsHigh ethical standards, integrity, and commitment to complianceMust reside within the assigned territoryPhysical Requirements & Reasonable AccommodationThis role is primarily a desk-based job requiring the ability to operate a computer and communicate effectively in a remote work environment.
