As we continue to expand, we are seeking a strategic and hands-on Head of Accounting to lead our team.Position OverviewThe Head of Accounting will oversee all accounting functions, ensuring accurate financial reporting, strong internal controls, and compliance with regulatory requirements. This role is both strategic and operational, requiring leadership experience, technical expertise, and the ability to support a growing business in a dynamic industry.Key ResponsibilitiesFinancial Leadership & StrategyLead and manage the accounting department, including hiring, mentoring, and performance managementPartner with executive leadership to support strategic financial decisionsDevelop and implement accounting policies, procedures, and best practicesFinancial Reporting & ComplianceOversee monthly, quarterly, and annual financial close processesPrepare and review financial statements in accordance with GAAPEnsure compliance with federal, state, and local regulationsCoordinate audits and manage relationships with external auditorsOperational AccountingManage general ledger, accounts payable/receivable, payroll, and fixed assetsOversee revenue recognition and cost accounting specific to container operationsMonitor cash flow, working capital, and financial performanceSystems & Process ImprovementEvaluate and improve accounting systems and workflowsLead optimization and administration of NetSuite ERP, including configurations, reporting, and integrationsImplement automation and scalable processes to support growthEnsure data integrity across financial platformsBudgeting & ForecastingLead annual budgeting and ongoing forecasting processesAnalyze variances and provide actionable insights to leadershipQualificationsBachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (CPA preferred)8+ years of progressive accounting experience, including leadership rolesStrong knowledge of GAAP and financial reporting standardsRequired: Proven, hands-on experience with NetSuite ERP (implementation, optimisation, and reporting)Experience in logistics, manufacturing, or asset-heavy industries preferredProven ability to scale accounting operations in a growing companyAdvanced proficiency in financial systems and ERP platformsExcellent analytical, organisational, and communication skillsWork EnvironmentFully remote positionExperience working with U.S.-based companiesCompensation & BenefitsCompetitive salary + performance-based bonusMedical insurance plan 50% contributionPaid time off and holidaysPaid sick leaveWhy Join Us?Opportunity to shape the financial future of a growing companyCollaborative and entrepreneurial cultureHigh visibility role with executive leadership
