We are looking for a creative, media-savvy Senior Partnerships Manager to sit at the intersection of strategy and client development at Vocal. This person will work closely with the Director of Partnerships to develop customized, long-term partnership proposals that speak directly to what each client cares about most — whether that's electoral impact, climate action, reproductive rights, or beyond. This is an opportunity to help lead the next frontier of progressive digital media tactics while making a meaningful impact on the most important social issues of our time. This role is ideal for someone with a deep understanding of the digital media landscape who has built decks, pitched clients, and thought seriously about where media is heading — and who knows how to translate that expertise into proposals that move people to act.Responsibilities Own the development of client-facing proposals and pitch materials — this is the core of the role; produce customized, long-term and rapid response proposals that reflect a deep understanding of each client's goals, issue area, and strategic prioritiesDevelop the nuanced understanding needed to tailor proposals to different types of clients — knowing what a political funder needs to see versus a climate organization versus a reproductive rights group, and crafting each pitch accordinglyProactively identify opportunities to expand existing partnerships, pushing clients to think long-term and try new formats, platforms, and approaches that deepen and grow our work togetherConduct robust research and competitive analysis to identify emerging trends, tools, and tactics across the broader digital world — translating findings into fresh ideas and concrete proposals clients are excited to act onServe as the internal subject matter expert on the future of digital media and emerging tactics, bringing a sharp, informed perspective to every pitch and sales settingPrioritize innovation and maintain a critical eye on program design — question assumptions and revisit strategy often to ensure continuous improvementSupport client relationships by staying informed on account goals and contributing strategic thinking to partnership development, producing polished drafts that are ready for director reviewPartner with the Partnerships Associate to ensure operational systems, timelines, and deliverables are running smoothlyCollaborate cross-functionally with internal teams to support seamless campaign executionWho You AreA creative thinker with a strong POV on the digital landscape — always scanning for emerging trends, tools, and tactics and thinking about how they can drive impactForward-thinking and energized by what's next — you get bored with "that's how we've always done it"Willing to push boundaries and bring bold, experimental ideas to the table with the rigor to back them upA confident communicator who can present on emerging and experimental work independently and compellinglyDeeply committed to social impact and progressive causes, with experience working on purpose-driven campaigns and a strong cultural competency across issue areasComfortable working across multiple clients and workstreams without dropping the ballSelf-directed and organized — you own your projects from concept to deliveryQualifications4–6 years of experience in partnerships, media strategy, branded content, or business development — agency or digital media environment strongly preferredDemonstrated ability to develop highly customized proposals and pitch materials tailored to specific audiences, issue areas, and organizational goalsExpertise on the ever-changing digital landscape, particularly as it pertains to reaching niche audiences and how content travels across platformsExperience conducting competitive analysis and industry research to identify emerging trends and opportunities — and translate them into actionable partnership strategyDeep familiarity with major social media platforms — TikTok, Instagram, YouTube — and how brands and causes show up effectively on eachStrong writing and presentation skills; highly proficient in Google Slides — able to build polished, client-ready decks from scratchFluent in Notion for documentation, project tracking, and team collaboration; comfortable maintaining and navigating shared workspacesExperience with CRM tools and project management platforms (Airtable a plus)Familiarity with AI tools and workflow optimization a plusMust be based in the continental United StatesBenefitsHealth insurance covered at 90% for full-time employees; Dental and Vision availableFlexible PTO and sick leaveCompletely virtual work environment & one-time home office setup reimbursement, as well as home wifi stipendWork in any timezone within the continental US401(k) plan
