We are looking for a Medical Billing Specialist — Radiology (Charge Entry, AR & Denials) to join our growing team at The Coordinators. You would be working remotely with our client in the Radiology / Imaging Center space. If you are passionate about discovering your potential, this is the heart of what we do. In this role, you will support a collaborative billing function by handling charge entry, accounts receivable follow-ups, and denial management, while working closely with an in-house billing team. You will ensure accurate claim processing by reviewing documentation, verifying codes, and resolving rejections in a timely manner. This is a highly hands-on administrative role that requires reliability, structure, and proactive communication. The ideal candidate brings experience in radiology or imaging billing, communicates with professionalism and clarity, is comfortable navigating billing platforms such as Metasys and scheduling systems like AdvancedMD, and demonstrates strong organization, consistency, and high ethical standards while supporting efficient revenue cycle operations. Responsibilities: - Perform charge entry once documentation and radiology reports are complete. - Review patient charts and ensure all required documentation is present prior to billing. - Verify CPT and diagnosis codes for accuracy to minimize rejections. - Work claim rejections and denials in coordination with the in-house billing team. - Perform accounts receivable (AR) follow-ups to ensure claims are processed within expected timelines. - Communicate with insurance providers for claim status, additional documentation requests, and resolution. - Submit supporting documentation (e.g., medical records) when requested by payers. - Collaborate with internal staff via shared communication channels for workflow alignment. - Maintain accurate billing records within Metasys and AdvancedMD systems. Requirements and Qualifications: - Experience in radiology or imaging center billing (strongly preferred). - Hands-on experience with charge entry, AR follow-ups, and denial management. - Familiarity with Medisys (required or strong preference). - Experience with AdvancedMD or similar scheduling/EHR systems. - Strong understanding of CPT codes, diagnosis codes, and insurance workflows. - Excellent written and spoken English with professional communication. - Ability to work collaboratively with an in-house billing team. - Highly detail-oriented with strong organizational skills. - Tech-savvy and effective in a remote work environment. - High integrity and ability to handle sensitive information. - High ethical standards, professionalism, and respect in all patient interactions. - Willingness to learn, grow, and develop yourself professionally. Location: - Remote. Schedule: - 25 hours/week (based on workload and ramp). Pay Range: - $6 – $9 per hour.
