Responsibilities

Ludlow Property Group (LPG) is a vertically integrated real estate firm operating across New York and Colorado. We acquire, manage, and develop self-storage properties in supply-constrained leisure and outdoor-lifestyle markets, and we've built our own proprietary software operating system to run the business. We are deeply tech-focused, and AI is core to how we work. Read this before applying: You must have direct, hands-on experience processing accounts payable and keeping the books for a real estate business with multiple legal entities. QuickBooks experience is required. Applications without hands-on AP and QuickBooks bookkeeping experience won't be considered. The Role: We're hiring a Bookkeeper + Accounts Payable Specialist to run the day-to-day transaction side of our accounting function across a multi-entity, multi-property real estate portfolio. You'll own the AP pipeline end to end, from invoice intake through payment, and keep our books clean, current, and audit-ready. This is a high-volume, high-accuracy role reporting to our Controller and working alongside our external accounting partners. This is a great seat for someone who takes pride in precision, moves fast without dropping details, and wants to grow with an entrepreneurial, fast-scaling company. You should be AI-obsessed. We expect every person on our finance team to use AI every day to process faster, catch errors, and keep a tighter set of books than a traditional accounting shop. If AI isn't already part of how you work, this isn't the right seat. What You'll Do: *Own the full AP cycle: invoice intake, coding to the correct entity and property, approval routing, and payment runs (ACH, check, card) *Keep the books current across multiple entities: bank and credit card reconciliations, expense categorization, journal entries *Manage vendor relationships: onboarding, W-9s, payment terms, statement reconciliations, and 1099 prep *Managing Ramp, which holds our receipts and documentation across a distributed team so every transaction is supported *Support the monthly, quarterly, and annual close with accurate, on-time numbers *Flag discrepancies, duplicate charges, and pricing errors before they cost us money *Help implement and improve accounting systems, controls, and processes as we scale *Coordinate with operations, asset management, and our external accounting partners to keep data consistent What We're Looking For: *2+ years of hands-on bookkeeping and accounts payable experience *Direct experience with multi-entity books in real estate *Strong QuickBooks skills; experience with spend and bill-pay platforms a plus *High accuracy at high volume: you process fast without letting details slip *Relentless follow-up: you get the receipt, the W-9, and the approval every time *Daily, fluent use of AI tools in your work *Bonus: experience with self-storage or real estate, GAAP basics, Notion
