Responsibilities

Make shipping boring. Melora Connect is association management software for associations, chambers of commerce, societies, federations, councils and membership non-profits. We are about two weeks from launching a custom web and mobile product that replaces our low-code MVP, and roughly 15 people are building it. Right now every release is a manual act of faith. We need someone to fix that. You would own the path from merged pull request to production: a React and TypeScript front end on TanStack Start, Supabase and PostgreSQL behind it, one GitHub repo, and a mobile app joining the release train. What you will do: build CI in GitHub Actions with lint, typecheck, tests and build checks on every pull request; stand up real development, staging and production environments with parity and safe seed data; put database migrations under control with additive-only SQL in transactions, checked in CI, and a rollback plan that has actually been tested; automate deploys for web and mobile with preview builds per pull request and a one-step rollback; manage secrets and configuration across environments so nothing lives on someone's laptop; set up monitoring, error tracking and alerting, and write the runbooks that go with them; watch build times, bundle size and Supabase usage so they do not quietly get worse; document all of it so any engineer can ship without asking you first. First 90 days: days 1 to 30, every pull request runs checks automatically and staging exists; days 31 to 60, production deploys are automated, reversible and documented; days 61 to 90, alerting is live, migrations are gated, and the team ships without you in the room. What this is not: identity and access administration, security questionnaires and compliance documentation sit with our IT and Security Administrator Associate, and product feature work sits with our Software Engineering Associates. This role is the pipeline and the platform. Terms, stated plainly: we are pre-launch, bootstrapped, with no paying customers yet. This role is unpaid until we launch and start generating revenue. Once revenue comes in, the intention is a paid contract, then a full-time salaried role as revenue supports it. That is an intention, not a guarantee, and we would rather say so up front than surprise you later. What you get: full ownership of a greenfield delivery pipeline with no legacy to work around; direct access to the founder and the engineering team, no layers; real production experience on a live SaaS product, not a sandbox; a written reference and first claim on the paid role once the budget exists.
