Our team is passionate about innovating ways to source, validate, and clean complex chemical and raw material data. We work tirelessly to bring the highest grade of information to all of our customers and internal teams. Our goal is to become the industry's source of truth and the gold standard for chemical & supplier information. As our first data science leader, you’ll be instrumental in helping us achieve this. Responsibilities: - You’ll continuously investigate the critical business needs of Valdera’s users and internal teams to design effective data solutions. - You’ll mine data from multiple sources and apply your knowledge in data cleansing and scrubbing to improve the quality and usability of Valdera’s chemical and supplier data in our applications. - You’ll design the right set of experiments to evaluate the speed at which our data is acquired, cleaned, enriched. - You’ll develop ways to continuously monitor and analyze the quality of data across stages of our data pipelines. - You’ll build and maintain dashboards that report metrics from data pipelines, models, and product applications across multiple teams. - You’ll take ownership of monitoring these metrics to identify areas for improvement on a frequent basis and to develop new ways to continuously enrich data for our product applications. - You’ll develop predictive models and analyses to help our systems make effective matches between buyers and suppliers. - You’ll aggregate and communicate your findings to drive informed and timely decision-making that improves the way our products are created, executed, and adopted. - Lead the re-design and re-construction of the data layer that empowers internal and external users to access accurate information on suppliers
