Responsibilities


Clinical Support: * Patient Pre-Testing: Perform diagnostic tests such as visual field tests, retinal imaging, OCT scans, and tonometry. * Patient Preparation: Gather patient history, update medical records, and prepare patients for eye exams. * Assisting Optometrists: Support optometrists during exams, manage patient flow, and ensure rooms are set up with necessary equipment. * Contact Lens Training: Teach patients how to insert, remove, and care for contact lenses. Eye Drops & Medications: Administer eye drops as directed by the optometrist. Administrative Tasks: * Patient Scheduling: Assist with booking and confirming patient appointments. * Electronic Health Records (EHR) Management: Update and maintain accurate patient records. * Patient Communication: Answer patient inquiries in person, over the phone, or via email. Technical & Equipment Handling: * Equipment Maintenance: Calibrate, clean, and maintain diagnostic equipment to ensure optimal performance. * Inventory Management: Track and order supplies for exam rooms and diagnostic machines.
