Responsibilities & more

Education & Experience. Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent practical experience). 0–2 years of professional backend development experience, including internships. Technical Skills. * Proficiency in at least one backend programming language (e.g., Python, Java, Node.js, Ruby, PHP, C#). * Understanding of RESTful API design and integration. * Familiarity with relational databases (MySQL, PostgreSQL) and/or NoSQL databases (MongoDB, Redis). * Basic knowledge of version control systems, especially Git. * Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP) is a plus. * Understanding of web security, authentication, and data privacy basics. Soft Skills. * Strong problem-solving and analytical skills. * Willingness to learn new technologies and frameworks. * Effective communication and collaboration within a team. * Attention to detail and code quality. Responsibilities. * Assist in designing, developing, testing, and maintaining backend systems and APIs. * Collaborate with frontend developers to integrate user-facing elements with server-side logic. * Write clean, maintainable, and efficient code according to best practices. * Debug and resolve technical issues in existing backend systems. * Maintain documentation for code, APIs, and database structures. * Participate in code reviews and team knowledge-sharing sessions. * Support deployment and monitoring of backend services. * Learn and adapt to new tools, languages, and frameworks as required. This is a Hybrid Position, and must be in Detroit.
