With over 80 years of expertise and a 100–250 person team, we are now seeking a dynamic, U.S.-based Financial Controller to join our finance team remotely. In this pivotal role, you will oversee all domestic financial reporting, budgeting, and compliance—directly supporting the financial health and strategic growth of our long-standing operations across the United States. Responsibilities: - Oversee financial reporting processes, including the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in accordance with U.S. GAAP. - Manage the budgeting and forecasting processes, ensuring accuracy and alignment with strategic objectives. - Ensure strict compliance with U.S. accounting standards, federal/state regulations, and internal company policies. - Lead month-end and year-end close processes, including the preparation of journal entries and account reconciliations. - Analyze financial data and provide actionable insights to support executive decision-making and strategic planning. - Develop and maintain robust internal financial controls to safeguard company assets and mitigate risk. - Manage cash flow and liquidity to support operational needs and strategic initiatives. - Provide leadership and mentorship to finance team members, fostering a culture of collaboration and excellence. - Collaborate with internal stakeholders to optimize financial processes and drive operational efficiency. - Prepare and present financial reports to senior management and stakeholders, highlighting key insights and recommendations. Required Qualifications: - Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field from an accredited U.S. institution (or equivalent). - CPA or CMA certification is strongly preferred. - Minimum of 5 years of financial management or accounting experience, specifically within the Specialty Contractor or Construction Industry. - In-depth knowledge of U.S. GAAP, federal/state financial regulations, and reporting requirements. - Proficiency in financial software and ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle, NetSuite). - Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills. - Proven leadership and team management abilities. - Advanced Excel skills and financial modeling expertise.
