To support Project Management and others in the delivery of the civil works during design & constructionThe Position Is (Remote Based), With Travel As Required.How you’ll make an impactManaging civil engineering tendering:Reviewing client ITTsDeveloping civil engineering strategies including producing scope of worksEngaging consultants and contractors through the Supply Chain Management functionCoordinating the production of tender deliverablesIdentifying key risks and opportunities – developing mitigating actions and ensuring adequate provisions are madeUndertaking due diligence on documentation prior to client contract signingUndertaking supplier quotation assessment, qualification and alignmentsAssisting supply chain and commercial functions in the drafting of subcontracts (predominantly NEC3)Supporting Project Management function including identifying Early Warning Notifications to customers and developing Compensation Events submissions where required.Reviewing subcontractor EWNs and consequential Compensation Events, implementing mitigating measures where appropriateReviewing external civil designs to ensure specification compliance, SHESQ, constructability and value has been consideredEnsuring external designers implement client and HITACHI technical and procedural requirementsOffering expertise cedures, design codes and industry best practiceDeveloping and leading initiatives for improvements and efficiencies for civil deliveryUndertaking Civil Project Engineer duties on specific schemes where requiredOverall responsibility for the unit’s management of Temporary Works and compliance to BS 5975 and customer processes including enacting the role of the Designated IndividualYour backgroundBachelor’s or master’s degree in civil engineeringChartered Status with ICE, IStructE or CIOBMinimum 5 years’ experience working within T&D sectorExperience within civil design environmentExperience of work winning including risk identification and mitigationGood teamwork, analytical and communication skillsCapable of working to tight time scalesWhat We OfferCompetitive salary packageGenerous bonus scheme.25 days holidays, plus bank holidaysExcellent company pension and wide-ranging benefits schemes.Top quality H&S culture alongside comprehensive training and personal development programmes.Inclusive Work Environment: We foster a diverse and inclusive workplace where everyone feels valued and respected.More About UsWe offer fantastic opportunities to work on dynamic, high-impact and cutting-edge industry initiatives that are making a crucial impact to society whilst also offering the vibrancy of working within a world-leading global organization.
