Requirements and responsibilities


About the roleThis intern will have the opportunity to assist Global Health Action’s programs focusing on maternal, child, and adolescent health and wellbeing programs and projects. Topical areas may include Leadership Development, Organizational Development, and Community Health programming. The intern will have the opportunity to become exposed to pressing ethical issues in global health, become familiar with working with coalitions and collaborative concepts, and work with a supervisor who is interested in mentoring.  The timeframe for the internship is a minimum of 10 weeks (Sept 14 - Nov 20, 2026), with the possibility of an extension. This internship requires 20hrs/week (mandatory: Thursdays 10am-2pm ET; Five Orientation days 10am-2pm ET). The position is remote from anywhere in the world with the option to be hybrid. Click here to listen to what our prior interns have to say.What you'll doLiterature reviewsCreate and update course-related materialsCompiling and analyzing research and evaluation dataLogistic support for grants programs, reporting, trainings, and technical assistanceWriting reportsTraining and technical assistance support: webinar logistics etc.Perform other duties as assignedUnder direct or general supervision, performs a variety of tasks requiring limited independent judgment:May research, compile, and prepare routine or ad-hoc reportsMay research and maintain records, files, and logsMay initiate or maintain contact with customers, vendors, or contractors and respond to, research, and resolve inquiries of a routine natureMay organize meetings or other venues and arrange for logistical needs such as set up, handouts, reports, speakers, and clean upMay assist in developing, implementing, and managing programs or projectsQualificationsHighly qualified Undergraduate students; Graduate level students; preferably a MPH/MBA/MHA student, or recent grad.Prior experience in public health/global healthStrong research skills for literature reviewsMust be able to complete the projectKnowledge of Asana, Excel, or other project management softwarePlease be prepared to upload a cover letter, resume, and writing sample when applying.
