Responsibilities: - Help shape the vision, strategy, and growth of AIxBio Africa. - Lead or contribute to projects aligned with your functional area (e.g., research, operations, partnerships, communications, or engineering). - Collaborate with other founding team members to build sustainable programs and initiatives. - Represent AIxBio Africa professionally in meetings, events, and partnerships when required. - Develop and improve internal processes, documentation, and workflows. - Contribute ideas for organizational growth, fundraising, and community engagement. - Take ownership of assigned tasks and deliver high-quality work within agreed timelines. - Foster a collaborative, mission-driven, and inclusive team culture. Requirements: - Passion for AI safety, biosecurity, biotechnology, or responsible AI. - Strong commitment to AIxBio Africa's mission and long-term vision. - Excellent communication and collaboration skills. - Ability to work independently in a fully remote environment. - Proactive, resourceful, and willing to take initiative with minimal supervision. - Ability to commit 5–10 hours per week (or specify your expected commitment). - Experience relevant to the role is preferred but not required; demonstrated ability and motivation are valued more than credentials. - Willingness to contribute as part of an unpaid founding team during the organization's early growth stage.
