Labhouse is a fast-growing startup that builds, launches, and scales its own AI & Productivity Apps, operating under a subscription-based business model.Based in Barcelona, Labhouse was founded by Andrés Bou and Horacio Martos (Co-Founders of SocialPoint). We operate at the intersection of mobile technology, AI, and product-driven growth, with a strong focus on experimentation and performance.Would you like to make an impact as part of a company that builds the best mobile apps used by millions of users worldwide? If so, discover your next challenge below.About the Role:Marketing attribution is the engine that tells us where every user comes from. Today we rely on a third-party tool (AppsFlyer) to track which campaigns drive installs across our mobile apps — but we believe we can do this better ourselves. As our Lead Backend Engineer for Marketing Attribution, you'll design and build this system from scratch: the infrastructure, the data pipelines, the attribution logic, and the APIs that power it. You'll work autonomously at first, then grow a team around the system you create. This is a high-impact, zero-to-one engineering challenge at the intersection of mobile, backend infrastructure, and data — and it's entirely yours to own.Responsabilities:Architect and build a proprietary mobile marketing attribution system from the ground up, replacing AppsFlyerDesign the backend infrastructure to capture, process, and attribute mobile install events at scaleBuild reliable, low-latency data pipelines to ingest signals from ad networks, SDKs, and mobile clientsDefine the attribution logic and models (last-click, probabilistic, fingerprinting, etc.) that power accurate campaign measurementWork closely with the Growth and Product teams to ensure the system surfaces the right data for decision-makingLay the technical foundation with future team growth in mind — your architecture decisions will shape how this team scalesAbout You:Academic background:You hold a degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related technical field. Strong academic foundations in distributed systems, data engineering, or backend architecture are a plus.Technical expertise:7+ years of backend engineering experience, with a strong track record of building complex, high-scale systemsDirect experience with mobile marketing attribution — ideally you've built an attribution system from scratch, or worked deeply within one at a company that built it in-house (as large mobile-first companies often do)Deep understanding of how mobile attribution works: SKAdNetwork, fingerprinting, device signals, postback systems, ad network integrationsStrong backend fundamentals: API design, distributed systems, event-driven architectures, and high-throughput data processingExperience working with TypeScript/Node.js is a plus, but we're open to other languages if your backend fundamentals are exceptional — we're still deciding on the stackProven ability to work autonomously and make sound technical decisions without heavy oversightA builder's mindset: you're energized by the blank-page challenge of creating something from zeroProblem-solving and product focus:Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills, with the ability to resolve complex technical challenges.Eye for detail and a product-first mindset, with a passion for creating exceptional user experiences.Self-driven, entrepreneurial attitude with the ability to work autonomously and take ownership of projects.Communication:Good level of spoken and written English, Spanish is a plusAbility to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams, including engineering, product, and marketing.Nice to Have:Prior experience at a mobile-first company or ad tech company where attribution was built in-houseFamiliarity with tools in the attribution/MMP ecosystem (AppsFlyer, Adjust, Branch, Kochava) — knowing what they do well (and poorly) helps you build betterExperience with fraud detection in the attribution context (click injection, SDK spoofing, etc.)Experience hiring or mentoring engineers — you'll be doing this soonWhat we Offer:Remote work from anywhere in Spain.
