You'll be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining CI/CD pipelines, automating deployment workflows, ensuring system reliability and security, and supporting rapid development cycles. This is a hands-on role ideal for someone who thrives in a fast-paced, high-impact environment and is excited to build foundational DevOps systems from the ground up. You'll work closely with engineering leadership to drive infrastructure decisions and enable product teams to ship faster with confidence. This person should reside in EST or CST locations.Key ResponsibilitiesDesign, build, and maintain Axion's cloud infrastructure on GCP, ensuring high availability, scalability, and securityOwn and evolve our Kubernetes-based container orchestration platform and Terraform infrastructure-as-code practicesBuild and improve CI/CD pipelines, developer tooling, and deployment automation to help engineering teams ship with speed and confidenceEstablish and maintain observability across our stack — logging, metrics, alerting, and tracing — and lead incident response effortsDefine and track SLOs and SLIs, driving a culture of reliability and continuous improvementContribute to security hardening, compliance posture, and cost optimization across our cloud environmentRequirements4+ years of experience in DevOps, SRE, or infrastructure engineeringDeep hands-on experience with GCP (Cloud Run, GKE, Cloud SQL, Pub/Sub, or similar services)Strong proficiency with Kubernetes — cluster management, networking, scaling, and troubleshootingSolid Terraform experience — writing modular, reusable, production-grade infrastructure-as-codeExperience building and maintaining CI/CD pipelines and developer toolingStrong background in observability tooling (Datadog, Prometheus, Grafana, or equivalent)Comfortable operating in fast-paced, ambiguous environments with a bias toward actionExperience at a venture-backed startup preferredMust be based in the Eastern or Central time zonesNice to Haves:Experience using agents to accelerate deliveryExperience managing infrastructure for FedRAMP environmentsWho You Are:You’re a builder and operator who thrives in fast-moving, high-accountability environments.
