Senior Storage Specialist — L3 (Remote) Location: Colombia Rate: DOE Role Overview Our client is looking for a Senior Storage Infrastructure Specialist — L3 / Lead to provide advanced technical leadership for mission-critical banking storage infrastructure across Production, DR, and Cyber Vault environments. In this role, you will hold overall L3 technical ownership of enterprise IBM DS8000 storage platforms, complex Cisco MDS and Brocade SAN fabrics, and IBM iSeries/Power Systems integrations. You will be responsible for designing and optimizing Metro Mirror and Global Mirror replication strategies, leading storage-related DR failover and recovery operations, and driving root-cause analysis for high-priority incidents. Additionally, you will own firmware lifecycles, advance Cyber Vault and immutable storage ransomware recovery controls, establish operational standards, review complex change plans, and collaborate closely with cross-functional infrastructure, security, and audit teams to maintain stringent banking compliance standards. Required Qualifications • 5+ years of experience in enterprise storage infrastructure and SAN engineering • Expert-level administration and troubleshooting of IBM DS8000 / DS8K platforms • Expert knowledge of Metro Mirror and Global Mirror replication strategies • Strong storage administration experience with IBM i / AS400 / Power Systems • Advanced administration skills in Cisco MDS and Brocade SAN fabrics • Deep knowledge of SAN architecture, zoning, VSANs, ISLs, Fibre Channel, multipathing, and MAPS policy management • Enterprise DR, replication, failover/failback, and business continuity experience • Expertise in storage performance engineering and capacity planning • Solid understanding of Cyber Vault, immutable storage, and ransomware recovery concepts • Advanced incident, problem management, and root-cause analysis (RCA) skills • Hands-on experience with IBM Storage Insights • Proven track record in technical documentation and runbook development Preferred Skills • IBM Copy Services Manager (CSM) • PowerHA integration • IBM DS8000 or IBM Storage certifications • Cisco Data Center / MDS certifications • Infrastructure automation skills using Python, Shell, or Ansible • Direct experience in banking or financial services infrastructure environments • Hands-on experience leading large-scale storage migrations, upgrades, or infrastructure transformations
