The Role:
As an Account Strategist, you’ll own the relationship with up to ~20client / niche shows.
You’ll help clients improve their positioning, stay consistent with content, and make sure their podcast is.
You’ll also coordinate closely with our production and marketing team to ensure everything flows smoothly behind the scenes.
This is a hybrid of client success, content coaching, and account management.
Perfect for someone who understands podcasts and is energized by helping proven entrepreneurs sound their best and grow their brand.
Responsibilities:
Client Strategy & Support:
- Act as the main point of contact for your assigned clients.
- Host monthly check-ins to guide content planning and offer feedback on their latest episodes.
- Go through their numbers from downloads, consumption rates, new subscribers etc.
- Help clients develop content that supports their visibility and lead-gen goalsSuggest episode topics, hooks, and formats aligned with business outcomes (be a listener/viewer of their show!).
- Guide clients on improving delivery, storytelling, or calls-to-action - depending on their goals.
Content & Workflow Coordination:
- Track client episode pipelines and ensure smooth production handoff.
- Onboard client’s team accordingly, gather missing files, and manage timelines for their new product launches (ex: books, webinars, events, masterminds, new services) Ensure clients are set up properly with tools like Riverside.fm, Drive, and shared dashboards on Monday.
- Collaborate with editors, assistants, and marketing team to ensure high-quality delivery across the board.
Retention & Relationship Management:
- Maintain high engagement and enthusiasm with each client.
- Proactively spot signs of churn or disengagement and take action.
- Keep clients informed, empowered, and excited about the impact of their show.
- Collect wins and testimonials that reflect podcast ROI.
- Lucrative bonus structure in place for upselling our clients into other offers and services.
Must-Have Experience:
- 2+ years as an account manager with other service based businesses.
- 2+ years as either an avid podcast listener and/or you have created podcasts in the past.
- Ideally, you have worked with other growing agencies and can show you take leadership within your role.
- Have a basic understanding of direct response marketing; like email lists, lead magnets, opt-in pages, or how podcasts support funnels.
- Familiarity with CRMs (ActiveCampaign, GoHighLevel, or similar) and/or project tools (like Monday.com).
- Comfortable working remotely across tools like Google Workspace, Slack, and Loom.
- Excellent written and verbal communication in English (you’ll be communicating with CEOs and their leadership team).
- A genuine curiosity in using AI and AI tools.
- Strong organizational skills - you keep things from slipping through the cracks.
- Able to work Eastern Time hours (at least 6–8 hours overlap daily).
- Hungry to learn and grow! Our clients are brilliant so there is no shortage of ideas and takeaways from them and their shows.
Bonus (but not required):
- Experience with producing podcasts.
- Experience with online marketing funnels and direct response copywriting.
- Experience with paid ads (Meta and YouTube).
