Accounts Receivable Manager at The Colombian Advantage

Key Responsibilities: * Manage collections for 500+ active receivable accounts. * Analyze A/R aging reports and trends to assess risk and drive cash flow improvements. * Investigate and resolve invoice discrepancies in a timely manner. * Maintain strong relationships with customer accounting contacts via email and phone. * Monitor and manage third-party billing portals and ensure accurate invoice uploads. * Lead and support a remote A/R team of 4 overseas agents, setting expectations and workflows. * Oversee daily cash receipt postings, eDeposit processing, and PayPal/credit card transactions. * Maintain credit documentation and SOPs; review credit applications and reports with management. * Prepare monthly and bi-monthly reports, e.g., DSO reports, collection escalation summaries, performance dashboards. * Collaborate with Finance and Management to assess customer credit health and forecast receivables. * Recommend and implement policy/process improvements based on data-driven insights. * Support strategic financial planning and contribute to broader accounting initiatives. Requirements: * 2+ years in A/R leadership or advanced receivables/accounting roles. * Strong understanding of managerial accounting and financial reporting. * Proficiency in Excel and accounting/ERP systems (CargoWise experience is a plus). * Excellent communication and leadership skills, especially in remote team environments. * Analytical mindset with a focus on accuracy, trend analysis, and forecasting. * Proven track record in process optimization and automation. * Familiarity with credit reviews, payment behavior trends, and dispute resolution. * Comfortable building out SOPs, credit policy, and A/R frameworks from the ground up.
