Responsibilities and requirements:
Help write analytics code, services, and components in Java, Apache Spark, Kafka, Storm, Redis, and related technologies such as Hadoop and Zookeeper.
Responsible for systems analysis - Design, Coding, Unit Testing, and other SDLC activities.
Requirement gathering and understanding, converting and analyzing functional requirements into concrete technical tasks, and providing reasonable effort estimates.
Provide expertise in technical analysis and solving technical issues during project delivery.
Conduct code and test case reviews, and ensure the code developed meets the requirements.
Experience with Java is essential.
Experience with Apache Spark streaming and batch framework.
Experience with Kafka, Storm, Zookeeper.
Knowledge of Redis, Hadoop.
Equities Electronic execution and analytics.
Any knowledge of KDB+/Q would be helpful.
Agile/Scrum methodology experience is required.
Strong communication skills, should be able to communicate effectively with business and other stakeholders.
Demonstrate ownership and initiative-taking.
Prior experience in working collaboratively with quant/trading desks is highly desirable.
