Prominence is seeking a Tableau Server Architect with experience in setup, configuration, and management of Tableau Server in both cloud and on-premises environments. The ideal candidate will have strong knowledge of Windows, Linux, or cloud administration, in addition to Tableau-specific skills. The role involves planning and deploying Tableau Server, configuring server authentication, monitoring and maintaining server deployments, investigating and resolving server issues, performing upgrades and patch management, and managing sites, users, groups, and content on Tableau Server. The candidate should also have experience with HIPAA regulations, healthcare industry knowledge, and familiarity with AWS, Azure, Active Directory, and other IAM systems. Strong knowledge of security best practices and the ability to make hardware recommendations is required. Responsibilities:
- Plan and deploy Tableau Server
- Install and configure Tableau Server
- Configure server authentication
- Monitor, maintain, and scale server deployments
- Investigate and resolve server issues
- Perform upgrades and patch management
- Perform server maintenance tasks such as backups and updates
- Monitor server performance and usage
- Manage sites, users, groups, and content on Tableau Server
- Create and manage site users and groups
- Create projects to organize site contents
- Assign content permissions to users and groups
- Monitor content usage, extract refresh tasks, and user activity
- Troubleshoot user issues with sites
- Strongly preferred: Tableau Server Architect / Tableau Server Admin certification
- Strongly preferred: Experience with HIPAA regulations
- Strongly preferred: Healthcare industry knowledge and experience
- Strongly preferred: Linux and Windows system administration
- Strongly preferred: Familiarity with AWS and/or Azure
- Strongly preferred: Familiarity with Active Directory and other IAM systems
- Strongly preferred: Experience with system monitoring, issue investigation, performance monitoring, and performance tuning
