Requirements and responsibilities

About this role: - We are a fast-growing, YC-backed platform that structures the web for AI agents. - Our browser interaction layer makes us the eyes of every AI agent on the web, and we need a Product Engineer to own it entirely. - This is our #1 product hire: a product-first engineer who ships fast, talks directly to developers, and makes prioritization calls without a PM. - You will own the interaction product end-to-end: prompt-based interaction, session chaining, persistent profiles, and scrape-then-interact workflows. Location: - Remote: Americas only (UTC-3 to UTC-10). - Eastern Hemisphere candidates not considered. What you will be doing: - Own the browser interaction product end-to-end: prompt-based interaction, session chaining, persistent profiles, scrape-then-interact workflows. - Talk to developers constantly: read every GitHub issue and Discord thread to separate what customers ask for from what they need. - Make product bets with imperfect data: what to build, what to skip, what to kill, and ship experiments in days, not weeks. - Solve hard browser reliability problems at scale: make 'click login and fill the email field' work reliably on any page, every time. - Dogfood the API relentlessly and obsess over DX: latency, response shape, error messages, and docs as a product. Must-have qualifications: - Shipped browser automation, agent tooling, or web interaction APIs to external developers, not just internal teams. - Hands-on with Playwright, Puppeteer, browser-use, Stagehand, or Chromium internals in a production, developer-facing context. - Owned features end-to-end without a PM or designer: made prioritization calls, talked to customers, killed features that were not working. - TypeScript/Node.js fluency: non-negotiable. - Based in the Americas (UTC-3 to UTC-10): Eastern Hemisphere candidates not considered even if willing to work Americas hours. - 3–12 years of software engineering experience. Core stack: - TypeScript. - Node.js. - Playwright. - Chromium.
